I mean, are there people who seriously worship the Devil? I can't see how that would give them much pride. The person who is speaking with God of course. I truly feel that praying helps. It is just one of the ways that God and man interact with one another. He will help those who call on him. Sexuality and faith have went hand in hand for many years. Many of the first religions revolved around matriarchal deities. Because women's sexual functions were tied to the idea of God as the creator of mankind. There has to be a better reason than "because my God is real" or "I've had 'experiences.'" Those reasons are not valid, you only had an experience because you are delusional from your illogical thinking that comes with your non-existent god.
