notgtajerk Posted June 4, 2008 Share Posted June 4, 2008 i understand your perspective on this. its just i miss everything on the lists in this forum so much that i now play a game i bought 4 freaking years ago more than the one i just paid $60 bucks for. you can keep your ragdoll physics, i just want my parachute wearing, lowrider driving, tank stealing, bicycle riding, tatoo wearing, gang recruiting, gambling addicted main character back. Well but if they did all that... Wouldn't you just end up with 2 exactly the same games? Because you're the one saying graphics don't matter for you? There is no direct interaction with the physics engine, it's all 'behind the scenes'. Characters do move and objects react in a much more natural way than previous GTA's, but this still isn't a gameplay element. A marble chess set has the same gameplay elements as chess on a peice of cardboard with a grid etched into it using coins for pieces. And do you really think if people had read that stupid article that they would simply have dismissed any gameplay element in previous games that they found fun? That's just silly! It's like me saying "I'm going to stab you" and then you getting all upset because you are bleeding. I mean, I told you I was going to stab you! I was talking to a friend the other day, a truck driver who lives at my house when he is off road. He plays the regular xbox games when he wants to while I play on my 360 in my room. He came in there one day after playing one of the other GTA games, and said he noticed the graphics were well updated compared to the game he was playing. I hadn't really thought about it, and with the hype, thought that the graphics would be much better than they were. Plus, with the hype again, I thought many other things would be a bit more thourough yet fun. But my theory is that many of us were expecting too much, yet got more than we realized as far as graphics were concerned, but may not realize it, since we don't see GTA IV and another GTA side by side. HAHAHAHA. ummm lets see i started playing with grand theft auto. birds eye view was fun. then gta 2, birds eye view with graphics. then three, basically gtaIV with a different story. then i played vc, loved owning a club. then i played sa. then lcs on my hacked 1.5 firmware version psp (which acts like its got a 3.7 firmware in it now). then i bought gta IV and then semi quickly switched back to muh gang bangin brother from another mother carl.
