MrJohn666
There's also going to be a game. No f*cking way. Who woulda thought, well I'll be a monkey's uncle, I thought I'd seen it all... I wonder what the odds are it'll completely suck? Regardless, Bale by himself is enough to warrant a watch of this movie. And I'm almost certain this film is gonna be a fun ride, 10x more than Terminator 3 was. This will be better than T3? No f*cking way. Who woulda thought, well I'll be a monkey's uncle, I thought I'd seen it all...

Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Looks pretty good, nothing spectacular. I'm not digging any of the actors other than Bale and I still don't like seeing Common in there. We'll see.

MrJohn666
I'm very optimistic aboot this movie now that we have a more in-depth trailer, I love the Terminator story/concepts. Not sure aboot the Transformers-esque robots though. However, I suppose since that movie, large robots in stuff is inevitable. Groovy
Danny Elfman reveals he's scoring T4. I'm hoping this won't be one of his scores that is heavy on the electronic parts, like lets say Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Not a real fan of those. makeshyft
I'm hoping this won't be one of his scores that is heavy on the electronic parts I dunno man, it's a Terminator film, and they've traditionally featured scores that utilize synth. I think it's going to be a different Elfman we hear in this film, but I have no idea what sort of Elfman it's going to be. Can he channel Brad Fiedel? I have no idea. The trailer is interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have done with this film, but I can already see problems with the machines themselves. The ones that are shaped like motorcycles, for example, are all form and no function. I can't see them being built when all the resistance would need to do to avoid them would be to go offroad. That big bastard seems pretty impractical too. I don't know. This might still be really cool, so I'll hang out until then.

What I liked about Fiedel's score to the first film was how basic is was, and I don't think Elfman can do 'basic'.
Slamman
Back in 1984 when the original Terminator came out, I was making drawings and taping any reviews like At The Movies, which I still have achived. I loved the film. Although I am sure I went to see Star Wars more then once, this film for sure I did. Since my friend couldn't get in to the mall theater to see it, I went in alone, and I took a lot of guff over that, but it wasn't the easiest decision, I was hooked on action cinema in a big way! My friend was left wandering the mall I guess. I regret that now, but it seems ages ago as well. Getting into R rated movies was something I would hear about while at school as well....How other kids would sneak in. I had to get an ID card, which sucked. I guess I always looked younger then my age. The original Terminator score is fantastic, much like John William's JAWS, it's so identifiable

Yeah that would never happen/be a complete wtf idea. He's said before anyway that he has hearing loss from playing with them and doesn't want to go completly deaf. Hart
My hopes are now high-ish after seeing a few trailers. I like how it feels like a real fight for humanity now, unlike the other flashes to the future in past Terminators. In the 1st they didnt really have the best effects, but it looked ok, and in 3 it was too OTT on the CGI. Salvation looks more down to earth. Jay
idk guys, T3 was on the telly the other night and I really kind of... enjoyed it. Sure, I bought into the hate that was rampant when it was first released, but I appreciate what it set out to achieve, which was basically be the dude at the end of a 1950's bowling alley setting up the pins, ready for the storyline to continue and knock them all down. Like it was laying the foundations for something more, or adding another dimension to a storyline we already knew so much about. At least I hope. The main thing I got though, was how interested the dialogue was making me in what happens after the attack. Like the whole John Conner being some gifted leader in a resurgence by man, then gets killed by the same model Terminator that was previously used to protect him. I think if it's anything near as pants-sh*ttingly scary as the combat scenes in the first two movies, then I'd pay money to see this just for the visuals. Nothing like that human skull being crushed in the battlefield for a piece of potent dystopian symbolism, eh lads?
Ronmar The Only
Bale's rant was f*cking beautiful. It was definitely not as great as because of the image of Berman is definitely not as grizzly as Bale's. It is funny, on the Today show they discussed how he is going to have a harder time finding work... what in the f*ck are they thinking. He's worked with Nolan now three times and he's never said a thing about Bale being hard to work with. Then he also is one of the hottest actors right now and is prepped to be in another blockbuster this year with Mann's Public Enemies. Also, I'm pretty sure I would've went off like Bale if someone did something like that. beavis
Somehow a terminator movie without Arnold, isn't a terminator movie, even if he is in his early 60's. Girish
Somehow a terminator movie without Arnold, isn't a terminator movie, even if he is in his early 60's. I concur. Although the trailers look good, it feels as if something very important is missing.
