What does Three Leaf Clover Remind You Of?

When I played this mission, it nearly gave me a gamergasm as you could say lmao. It was just sexy.

The mission really reminds me of the music video for "Ich Will" - by Rammstein.

It also kind of reminded me of the courtroom scene from Boondock Saints.

Ich Will- Rammstein: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R37H38bMVec

Boondock Saints: Courtoom Scene:

Feel free to reply and whatnot. 11 pm here and nothing better to read haha.

It reminds me of the bank robbery in "Heat". Actually apart from a few things changed, it was almost a carbon copy. Especially how they enter, and escape.

also, LA Takedown - which was the original version of Heat.

you can see it on youtube. very similar.

It was modeled after the part in the movie "Heat" and "LA Takedown", so anybody who says it doesn't remind them of those is a f*ckin idiot.

Do you do anything but alternate between bitching about GTA4 and gibbering excitedly about DLC content that's some weird fantasy?

Fact of the matter is that most GTA games have one or 2 really great missions, whilst the rest are quite similar in both context and means. GTA4, IMO, had a good mix of missions.

Reminds be of a longer version of the bank job that you do in VC.

1. You blow up the safe

2. One of your team mates gets killed.

3. You have to come out the front door and kill a ton of cops

4. Then you have to escape the cops with your two remainin mates

etc etc.

The cutscene where all the coppers were lining up in front of the doors, plus the duffelbags and the street, also reminded me a bit of The Peacemaker movie.

I loved that mission as well. The way you progress through chinatown and the subway f*cking rocks!

That was an awsome mission. The cut scenes and the dialoge all the way from driving there to the end was so cool.

Why dont you get to keep the balaclava after you get killed or busted?

Some scenes reminded me of "Bandits!".

I watched the clip from "heat" and yeah it seems that was R* inspiration.

It's a hat in the cupboard in your safehouse.

I know its like "well the police or doctors would take the balaclava off you" for realism. But its annoying you dont get to keep it but you get to keep your weapons.

Yeah, Heat is pretty much R* inspiration for the mission. No two ways around that.

I though Three Leaf Clover was an absolutely amazing mission and I always enjoy replaying it (Glad I saved before it), but I have some gripes. Firstly, the build up to it was piss poor. In Vice City you had to do missions to fix up the proper crew for the final bank robbery. In GTA IV there wasn't any of this and you're basically told the whole plan while you're driving there. Not exactly the best way to prepare for a bank heist. Secondly, you had very little involvment with the actual bank. Again, in The Job you were tasked with going to the vault, fetching the bank owner, keeping the people from doing anything stupid etc. in TLC it was just a cutscene (An awesome one mind you). Not to mention the bank was no bigger than your Algonquin apartment. Lame.

Apart from those few little personal pet peeves, the mission was a blast. The Police/NOOSE preparation montage was fantastic, the fight through Chinatown along with Packie and Derreck was pure adrenaline-inducing action, the escape through the subway was further amazing, and I personally even found escaping the wanted level thrilling. It just had that right atmosphere and mayhem. I mean, what can be more awesome than guys wearing suits, ski mask's and dufflebags filled with money, sprinting through Chinatown, sliding into cover and blindfiring with grenades?

Yeah I kinda wish there were a few missions building it up, like say the casino heist in SA.

Does this happen with hats and glasses?

I mean, I know they get knocked off if a car hits you, but I've never noticed after being busted. I've only been busted 4 times in over 100 hours play.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

it reminded me of an episode of CSI, in a bank robbery where some off-duty cop gets shot for trying to be a hero.

Absolutely fantastic mission. And to think I was dreading it, having heard how tough it was. I passed it first go.

dude ever seen Point Break? The dialogue between the dude with the gun and the other guy is mad similar to the undercover cop in that flick. And one of the characters in Point Break's brother gets shot...just like GTA IV.

that bit in 3LC was hilarious. there's a guy with a little pistol facing 3-4 guys armed with assault rifles and he says "Don't worry, I'm a gun club member."
