I didn't give it much thought with GTA III because the story wasn't that good but when I was in the middle of GTA: VC I thought I hope this is made into a film and it never was. I thought the same again with GTA: SA and GTA: SA would have made a better film than GTA: VC. GTA: VC might have turned out too much like SCARFACE and the series MIAMI VICE and as we all know, Rockstar got a lot of ideas from SCARFACE for GTA: VC. I don't think they could do they spirit of the game justice personally. Most video game movies are sh*te anyway and I'd hate to see my favourite franchise tarnished by the likes of Uwe Boll.

I personally wouldn't like GTA games as films, then they would be WAY to far-fetched.

gotta agree that I don't think a movie would be in the best interest of the GTA series. GTA is basically the best parts of the best movies put together in an interactive experience. If you ask me, that's the only way that GTA can truly be appreciated. They would have to condense the story and feeling of the game into a 2 hour film, and trust me, we would lose too much and it would tarnish everything good about the game. If you want to watch a GTA movie, just go watch the countless movies that GTA pays homage to.

Not every video game should be made into a movie. Leave GTA alone and let it be what it is: An excellent series of video games.

It's a good idea in theory, but most games turned into movies don't do that well.

 

I reckon a GTA movie may tarnish the franchise.

Not to mention it would ruin the GTA feel. When I play GTA, I play my style... I kill people in my style, drive in my style, run in my style, and seeing it done in ONE way would make it feel like this shouldn't be a movie, it's a video game.

They should make a Midnight Club Movie seriously thats a great game to base a Movie on just look at the characters and the way the game goes , I think by far MC 3 Dub edition has the best story for a n arcade racer ever in history

go watch 2 Fast 2 Furious. theres lots of movies about street racing.

 

As far as a GTA movie is concerned...i'd rather them stick it to gameplay. each GTA game is a movie in itself as far as I'm concerned.

and Uwe Boll sucks. he takes great games and gives them the sh*ttiest of names.
