Tony Mozzarelli 80
Yes xboxes are known for f*cking up your discs. take some toothpaste and squeeze a ring of it all the way round your disc. Then with your fingers, rub in small circular motions till the disc is covered. Then leave it for 10 mins or so, and rinse and dry Not the toothpaste with the gritty bits in it Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/354422-omg-my-gta4-disc-is-not-working/#findComment-1058199210 Share on other sites

nickstemoeilijk
And have you got your Xbox 360 standing vertically? If so, place the Xbox horizontally. I had it standing vertically and i went and change it to horizontally while it was playing would that have made a diffence to the scrapes on the disc Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/354422-omg-my-gta4-disc-is-not-working/#findComment-1058199313 Share on other sites

The 360 is notorious for scratching discs if you move/tip it while the disc is spinning. Gross negligence on their part to make it so easy (especially with the amount of kids that play consoles). There is a thing available in the USA called DiscDoctor that works great for DVD movies. I have never had to use it on a game, but I have used it on movies that I bought used. It slowly buffs the clear part of the disc away until the scratch is gone. If you look at a DVD on its edge, you can see that the information is not coded on the play side of the disc, but rather on the back of the label side. Because of this, there is a good 2 mm of material you can buff into and get rid of the scratch Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/354422-omg-my-gta4-disc-is-not-working/#findComment-1058199433 Share on other sites

It's of course ruined. I payed $3 extra for my "disk insurance" on my game, so hopefully I can exchange it for him. No GTAIV is like being a one legged man in a ass kicking contest.
