something really nice i only noticed recently after about 150 hours played, the climbing is FAWKING AWESOME.

 

you can climb up loads of stuff, my favourite so far is that building near lynch street station in dukes. there's a pigeon up there, you can climb onto the pitched roof of the station and run over an archway to the building opposite.

 

all of the fire escapes are solid and functional, but most of them are a good distance off the ground. you can grab a large vehicle eg. phantom and park it underneath the fire escape. then you climb up the vehicle and jump onto the fire escape.

 

with a bit of imagination and improvisation you could have epic jackie chan chases in multiplayer.

You can climb all sort of things but you cannot climb high stuff.

take a helicopter to real high roofs, if u need to, and go from there!

 

there are some good buildings to base-jump into the sea from too...great fun

you can't climb high stuff? yeah, unfortunately niko isn't spiderman.

 

but there are literally hundreds of rooftops which you can reach by hopping onto a wheelie bin or bus shelter, then grab onto an elevated ledge and climb up. then you can use that rooftop to gain access to neighbouring rooftops.

 

it might not be everyone's idea of fun climbing onto rooftops, but using them to escape from cops is really nice.

 

i get a little excited by running along a pitched rooftop with cops in the street below shooting at me.

Dude, i completely, wholehartedly, 100% agree with you. Climbing+Running/backstreets+rooftops...oh good god yes.

I've got a sweet rooftop comb. You'd love it. I'll try and make a vid, hows that sound?

But sometimes its annoying when i want to jump from one rooftop to another, because niko vaults over the edge. so i try to walk on the ledges instead

thats exactly what i do!

I have to wake up early on weekdays = i go to sleep early on weeknights.

So i cbf to play the storyline because it'll keep me up, so i wait til weekends. so all i do on weekdays is do exactly that...get 2 - 3 stars, maybe 4 then escape on foot, use apartment blocks, backalleys and rooftops. maybe a shootout here or there. no cars though, i love that so much.

Love the ability to climb, but I was a bit disappointed by the amount of fire-escapes not leading all the way to the roof.

Also love it but find it so hard to find decent spots. Any ideas? Map?
