Jus Noticed a couple things about GTAIV trailer 2

Ok, I noticed two different things about trailer #2

First, the voice of the U.L Paper guy, when Niko says "We're all looking for that special someone" It doesn't sound like the guy in the game, either they were going to make it a different guy, or they used another person to voice the U.L Paper guy.

The second thing I noticed was near the end of the trailer, when Niko says"I'm the one who survived" It's not that big of a deal, but I noticed it was daytime, in the retail version it's dark and raining in that cutscene. Just pointing a couplethings out, sorry if this has been posted before smile.gif

doesn't the time of the cutscene depend on the time of day you get to it? hence it could be day or night, dry or wet. just depends on the weather and time.

The scene where you see Roman hug Niko when he gets off the boat "Hey Niko My Cousin" it is daytime in the trailer, but when I played that part, it was dark, nighttime. (Well morning, since it was like 4am Game time when I checked the game time as soon as I got access to it)

My initial theory was that the start game time could have been either the real time (I started my 1st game at 11pm real time, so for the whole intro cut scene to play, finishing at 4-5am game time would make sense). Since the game was way too dark on my TV, I had to adjust the contrast/brightness and then decided the next day to restart my game over. I started it at 5pm realtime and it was the same so that the based on real time theory is out.

My friend then came over and also started a game of his own, and it was at the same time of day that the game started.

It got me wondering (And thinking it was based on real-time or random) because of the trailer, which was set in daytime.

There are some prominent differences, of course, Nikos appearance, the look of the corridor Niko and Roman walk into, also Darko´s face has been hidden more in the trailer.

.Up&Coming.

The first mission for me was pitch black. I thought it would be daylight (would have preferred it to get the first feel of the city), but it wasn't. I couldn't see a thing. I drove there bumping into everything and fumbling with the new controls...

I forgot you could change the brightness until later in the game.

The majority of speech we heard in the trailers was a mish-mash of different cut-scenes. Remember, what you see and what you hear are 2 different things, adding random quotes together can make sense.

No, when Niko arrives at nighttime, it would be more realistic, coz a boat full of illegal immigrants wouldnt arrive when the sun is up the sky.

no, they obviously just changed it so you can see the detail better.

easy, smart advertising move.

Fair enough, I was just pointing out that the trailer was diff than the game.

And the thickness of Niko's hair looks pretty weird

- Opening cutscene is always at night time, gives the game a dark atmosphere.

- Darko custcene is judged by the weather and time of the game.

End of.

First mission was like playing Condemned Criminal Origins/Bloodshot minus the flashlight. If you played any condemned you know what I mean.

BTW Don't do anything stupid cousin!

Why do you think Rockstar decided to do this? Recently in the MMA Live Fights a few days ago they showed another commercial for the game and it also showed the arrival scene during the day as in previous trailers when apparently evidence shows the contrary.

When I mentioned niko wearing a suit in a cabaret early on when a suit isn't available at that stage in the game some people said whats the big deal?

Im glad to see Im not the only one that notices these things. Im not sure if its a big deal to everyone else but the "artistic license" rockstar has taken to alter things including the opening scene leaves you wondering "whats the reason behind it"?

Why present a product to the public to show one thing when in reality its something else. When was the last time you saw a movie and the character was either dressed differently in the movie than the same scene in than the trailer. How many movies have you seen when the scene in the movie and the same one in the trailer are at completely different times of day.
