Past Life Regression

*Before we start, I don't want to know the religious views, I just want your personal point of views*

 

If you have ever experienced past life regression, and I don't mean if you've ever been to the afterlife, but have you ever seen or heard someone state they have? I would also like you to state if you beleive in it or not and the reason why and maybe we could come up with some interesting discussions.

 

Once a couple of week ago, my mom told me that when I was around 1-2 years old I used to say the sentence "I used to like that when I was that other little boy who grew up and died". I used to say the sentence if my mom asked me if I liked to, say... eat potatoes and cheese for tea/dinner or even go and play football. At first my mom thought I heard it from the TV and just kept repeating it, but I had a striaght serious face and the sentence used to be the exact same sentence each time. It is also, something that usual children my age do not say. My mom had already known about past life regression, but she did somemore research anyways. She said that children past the age of 2 years forget completely about their afterlife. My mom also remembered that when I was 2 years old, I didn't ever mention my afterlife and completely forgot about it.

 

When my mom recently told me about what I used to say, I got shocked and a little scared of myself - I don't know why. It's like I died, but now I am alive again and sometimes I can't get to sleep because I am constantly thinking about who I may have been in my other life. I don't usualy beleive in that sort of thing, but I can always remember being a baby, and seeing certain objects and local areas and remembering them really well like I was there yesterday. It's strange. Also, a neighbor of ours also told us that their young nephew used to say the same when he was around 1 years old.

I've always loved the idea of this, but I'm a little dubious, to say the least. I'd like to undergo past-life regression via hypnosis, but I'd be a bit scared of the results; imagine if you found out you were some proper evil bastard, or horribly diseased and poverty-stricken?

Theres a show on TV here about hypnosis and past-life regression, I'll try and find a clip on YouTube and you'll see how ludacris it all seems. The people are celebraties and have no reason to lie but they could just be hypnotised and influenced to say this sh*t. I don't believe its possible, I wouldn't be suprised if the people they think they were are just people they read in a book or dreamt they were which would explain why it feels so real.

 

Edit - The show is called 'Have I Been Here Before?', there doesn't seem to be any clips on YouTube but if anyone can get a clip post it so we can all have a laugh.

I saw a case in a small newspaper from my country called "URBE", it's not a tabloid but it's not a BIG Newspaper, the guy who "went back" discovered he had been a female japanese writer, an american mine worker from the depression and a spanish millionaire who turned into a bum, at the end of the article he told everyone who didn't believe in regression was an asshole.

 

Of course that's absolutely no proof, but it did seem interesting to me, he said that he knew the reason of many things in his life, first, he loved writing, and he saw that when he was a woman writing with ink, he said he never wanted to have brothers or sisters because as the mine worker he had many siblings he had to take care off, and so on.

 

Now i am not to fond of this idea, i hate the pretense of "rebooting" my life thousands of times to go to "nirvana".

Yeah, I've seen that once or twice. It was hilarious!

 

 

Have I Been Here Before? is an ITV daytime programme, presented by Phillip Schofield, made by ITV Productions. The programme offers celebrity guests the chance to see if they have lived before, in a past life. The celebrities are regressed by experienced therapist Andrea Foulkes, and in the process they often reveal some deeply intimate thoughts about their current lives.

Haha, it was absolute bullsh*t and has made me look at this past life regressiion as bullsh*t. However, it's an interesting idea and I'd love to try and find out who I used to be.

 

Speaking of being an "evil bastard": I rememeber reading Stalin had two webbed toes on his left foot. So do I. Connection?

That's pretty interesting. I'd probably tend to be quite skeptical in the same way I'm skeptical of psychics, horoscopes and mediums; I wonder how many other parallels he could have found between his own life and his "past lives" if he'd been an only child who hated writing? My guess is: still loads

 

As I said, it's interesting, and like so many similar things, it'd be fantastic if it were true, but I'm kind of... open-minded, but I'll take a lot of convincing, if you know what I mean.
