Greenwood - How did YOU mod yours?

The Greenwood. Not the most exciting car in the SA. In fact, it's a bit crap. Not fast and not cool. Yet, being Sweet's mode of transport, it's used in so many missions.

So, what real life car did you replace yours with? Did you pick a modern post 1992 vehicle? Or did you keep to the feel of the game? Did you decide to forgo mission compatibility to drive a cool coupe or supercar, or did you manage to find a cool sedan?

I'll tell you what I chose and the reasons why when I get a screenshot. biggrin.gif

I went with this 1971 AMC Rambler Matador as authored by Aviolina, Brendan62 & Kel.

I wanted to find something that Sweet might drive that's in keeping with the time period of the game. He's not a rich guy and he doesn't strike me as the sort of guy that would buy a BMW or Mercedes. So I decided that the car needed to be an old but muscley looking American sedan. A lot of people might choose a Charger or a Camaro, but I wanted a four door for mission compatibility. I think that with those 5-slot mag wheels wearing fat tyres and tinted glass it's a good looking beast and it looks okay when OGS homies are driving them round the streets. The handling line as provided by the authors mean that it's fast and handles well too.

You should have asked this in the Modding Forums, not here. wink.gif

In that case, I don't wish to double post, so would a friendly mod care to move this thread to the most appropriate forum, please? smile.gif

Thank you.

Yes. Of course. Whilst one can swap some four door vehicles for two door examples, one should indeed be careful to maintain compatibility if one wishes to subsequently play the missions.

But it's not just two door/four door issues. Another example is when I swapped the Mule for a real truck, then discovered that the truck wouldn't let me load crates into the back of it in the "Robbing Uncle Sam" mission. The game didn't actually crash, but it made it impossible to complete the mission.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. What did YOU choose to replace the Greenwood and why?

Mid 80's Mercury Marquis

Classic american sedan. Solid, with very little flash. Same size and shape. Even has a vinyl half-roof.

Realism all the way......

I choose a Dodge Diplomat, because they are good looking, it is the car greenwood is suppose to be and it has that "Ghetto feel" about it.

Yeah the Diplomat is a good looking car. Damn shame it's a pretty rare car. I would love to have one sitting on the driveway.
