Stowaway and Dam & Blast

does anyone have any ideas as to how i can complete these missions. i can never get on the plane for stowaway and i dunno why. and for dam and blast i can never get high enough to reach the corona thing. any help would be much appreciated.

Stowaway:

At the beginning of this mission you're given a motorcycle and told to ride up

the ramp on the airplane. Not too hard except for the fact that the airplane

is moving and not only that, dropping obstacles as it goes. The best way to

do this is to drive along on either side of the plane until you get close so

you don't even have to worry about dodging at all. When you start to get

close to the ramp wait for the next set of crates to fall out the back and

turn toward the ramp, with any luck you'll have made it aboard. Once aboard

however there's still more to do. The first order of business is to get the

parachute which is on the back of the government guy at the top of the plane.

There's tons of explosives on here so using guns will only blow the thing to

bits, run up to him and take the old fashioned route of punching him to death.

Grab the parachute and then switch to the explosive item and throw it. Now

all you need to do is jump out of the plane and watch the scene in order to

complete the mission, whether you hit the ground and splat or not is

irrelevant to the mission requirements, the $20,000 is yours as you plummet.

 

Tactic: For the first part of the mission, try to tap up arrow to gain extra

speed so that you can catch the plane more easily.

You can get a minigun( can be found at a construction site in Rockshore East, Las Venturas.

It is on the top of a ramp, a buldoser is also parked at the entrance of the site.)

and as the mission starts aim at the aeroplane and blast it then simply drive your bike in it.

Dam and Blast:

At the start of this mission go as high as you can.(thats the secret)

Make your way to the airport and get a plane there. As you approach the dot

on your minimap make sure you spend the trip getting as high as you possibly

can, there's a corona floating in the air above the clouds and you must pass

through this in order to be able to jump. When this occurs press Return / F to

drop out of the plane and fall until you feel it is the right time to open

your parachute. Glide toward the red light pillar, if you don't make it from

the drop get there by any means necessary. Now this entire next section is

based around stealth. Approach the door with the knife equipped and take out

the guards. Be sure to pick up the knife there even if you already have one

or else you won't be able to proceed through the door. Inside the dam and up

the stairs there are five generators. Move from generator to generator using

Return / F key to plant the explosives and using your knife to take care of

the people there without alerting any of them. After all the charges are

planted go through the door and watch the scene. Grab the skimmer plane

floating on the water nearby and use that to get wherever you're going.

Has anybody tried just going in there and just blasting everybody in sight?

Ive done it every time just kill everyone with a sniper or take

out my dual tec9's

i've tried dam and blast but i just can't get that high. its really annoying me now

Be sure to raise the landing gear (#2 on the kybd default). I always take the 'long' way around by turning 270 degrees instead of turning 90 degrees directly toward the target. I climb steady at about a 20 degree nose up angle.

yeah i know i can ask someone to do it for me. but i would like some advice so i can do it myself

How I did it was when I took off I kept going up

untill I couldnt any more then I flew to the marker

trying to go up and turn around and you should be able

to reach it cuz ive had to do that sometimes

thanks for all your help guys. i somehow managed to do dam and blast. the problem was getting high enough. after that. it was pretty straight forward. any help for stowaway would be much appreciated.

Congrats on doing Dam & Blast. For Stowaway, it's pretty much what's been said, ride alongside leaning CJ forward on bike so it goes faster, then as you are next/close to ramp move sideways a little to reach the ramp and the cutscene kicks in.

I have seen reports though that for some people they are never able to reach the plane as it just goes too fast on their game. Hope that won't be a problem for you and you'll eventually get it.

BTW: do you play with frame limiter on or off? Try the other option that you currently have, it might help.

I am having that same problem aFinn. I can never get anywhere near close the plane as it takes off. I have frame limiter on. what exactly is it?

Go around in a big loop to have another go at it

 

Don't head for the corona too soon, not until the marker on the HUD radar shows that it's lower than you are.

 

If you try to get that big lumbering plane to climb too quickly then it will stall and plummet. So ease it up slowly. Go horizontally for a while and then go gently up for a short while. Then go horizontally for a while again. It takes some time but it means you'll get the feel of the plane and will know how fast it can climb

i finally managed to do dam and blast Steve. and you are right. you need to steadily build up the height, lil by lil, not all at once. after that though its fine.

i still can't do stowaway. i can't get anywhere near the plane. could someone try and do it and tell me if they can. that way i can tell if it's just me.

You gotta tap UP repeatedly to gain speed. This way you should DEFINITELY reach the plane and sometimes I have even driven so fast that I left the plane behind.

 

EDIT: If it's V1, I can do it.

Second go. I was pretty surprised when I saw the plane being so fast, on the first try I was not even close, on the second I was close, closer and I eventually reached it. It was quite boring landing with the parachute as it took ages.
