Who still thinks this game is overwhelming?

Well who still thinks this game is overwhelming a month and a week after release? Well i sure do think its overwhelming still, all the little detail they put into the game . Will you ever be able to play San Andreas for at least an hour again? Or just turn it on and play for like 2 minutes and be like this is sh*t.

 

 

I never even had thought about playing SA again till now but no i won't.

I would probably play SA for about 10 minutes, then realise how much better GTA IV actually is.

 

Even before GTA IV came out, I struggled to play SA. Yeah it was great 4 years ago, but I think it's somewhat overrated now. It feels very outdated.

I just played Mass Effect a few hours after finishing IV, and i can't wait to play IV all over again and do everything just right, finishing it for the third time!!! the game is simply awesome, too bad the university's got me by the balls

I did play SA for around 5-10 minutes last week, it made me think why the hell had I ever played this game

 

 

Before IV came out, the best GTA for me was III, I liked the city and played the game for very long time. Now I have a same kind of feeling, I like the city and all the details, the way cars/bikes handle etc...

I play San Andreas for 10 minuites, Then I go back on GTA4, because Imo GTA4 Is much better.

 

Before I played GTA4, GTA3 Was my favorite. I could play it for hours, playing the missions again and again, because I thought III Had the best storyline.

I got on SA.. wow it sucked bug time. I got on VC.. I was like Holy sh*t.. the change is awesome. The new driving and pysics make it real fun.

I am really dissapointed in two things on this thread. First the extremely high praise for IV and the dissing of SA/VC. In my humble opinion, VC is the best one in terms of gameplay. SA is good and IV is a little to overwhelming/heavy. Vice City and San Andreas are like funny parodies, IV is much more realistic and I dont laugh as much playing this new GTA. I enjoy the interactive phone a lot! I really missed drunk driving since driving Phil to Little Havanna. Then again, maybe I still need to get adjusted to the game. Agree Disagree?

I played Vice City a couple of days ago, and damn those car handlings were just awkward to control. I mean one push to the left and your car is on that side of the road already. Without any problems. Which was weird. I love how the car physics are in IV. Absolutely stunning. And if you are playing IV close up, if your t.v can allow ear phones to be plugged in, put them on. You'll hear things you never heard in the speakers! The breathing, the door opening slowly, all those little details brings tears to my eyes.

I agree that it is a bit Overwhelming, as someone else stated I have really yet to explore any of the areas as of yet. I am at the last mission so i will finish it up tonight and then start really exploring, looking for pigeons and so forth, i think i have only gotten like 15 so far.

 

Off topic, to the OP, the quotes in your signature, while I am assuming that you didnt say them because you refer to them as things you've heard in multiplayer are really not funny and the fact that you think they are says alot about who you are.

i had a friend who is new to the gta series like me and he wanted to play SA before he played LC so he could get a true feeling of the game.

 

i started straight with LC and i love the graphics. my buddy quit playing SA after two hours after he saw me playing LC citing he loved the graphics on LC and hated SA

Nah I can't agree. I cant see how Vice city has better gameplay now. Gta4 is the same game, with better phyics, making shooting people a hell of fun! The car chases are awsome. I can't go back!

I was already UNDERwhelmed about 10 minutes into the game and after I finally beat it was already sick of it. I could put in San Andreas and play it for probably another 5 years, so could a sh*tload of other people.

Well I have both the games IV, and San Andreas, and I like them both, they are both good in different ways..

 

 

I'm still doing the missions in San Andreas, and I enjoy modding cars, just because I have IV, it doesn't change my opinion.

 

I'm doing things I like in both games, so its all good.

 

Just one thing though, the Pay and Spray in GTA IV sucks, why put the game forward 3 hours, and if the cops see you enter it doesn't work...maybe its just me, but I don't like it.

Am i the only one who finds acceptable to go back to the old games? I mean i've never played gta 3 but i just went beck to VC and thought, my god what an excellent game!!! not saying iv doesn't do a good job at undermining the dead installments, but i think it's a hell of a lot more fun than roamng around looking for the 1200000 pigeons! (not saying it's ccrap, its a very good way to force people to explore the city, but there's a lot of them and it just feels like work after the first 800000!

Maybe you just aren't reading the thread title properly. The OP is asking for opinions.

Actually i love the game, I got it the day it came out. Now granted, I can't dedicate hours and hours to it, kids and all you older guys know how it is, but I'm only about half done. I still try and do missions and stuff but very easily find myself just fooling around. I get sucked into cop chases and random ped hit and runs stuff like that. I love the physics of the game, hands down best out of all. Obviously, because it's on a next-gen console, but the story line is pretty good too, sure I'd like more, wouldn't we all? I still can't get over the physics every time I play it's just cool. Oh, and this HAS to be played on a hi-def tv with surround sound or your missing 60% of the game.
