Yes its free for me... Which got me thinking... How does it makes monnies? There is only one tiny Google Adsense Banner on the top of the page? Why isn't there more ads in this forum? They could just keep it "ads by Google" and ad a sidebanner on the left or something... every other forum I've ever been to had tons more ads than this one.. people will put up with a lot if it free.. Just saying with energy bills going skyrocketing through the roof and google's pay per click rates going down the drain they might have to up the ads to even keep up with current revuene stream? based on Alexa this sites traffic seemed to have peaked in early May which corresponds well to the GTAIV release... http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_...=3m&size=Medium So just a suggestion is all.. Tank is paying to keep this place up and running, and I'm guessing he keeps the ads minimal and unobtrusive because he doesn't want the site to be ugly and obnoxious like the ones with ads jumping out at you, or placed in between every other post. If that changes someday, fine, but I don't see why you'd want more ads. This is actually one of the only sites on the interweeble where I've gone out of my way to unblock the ads via whitelists in noscript and removing filters in adblock. The fact that the ads are not annoying, page destroyingly ugly, or in any way detracting from my experience at the site is the main reason for that. Well, also because I spend so much time here that the least I can do is not block the ads. There also (in reference to your locked topic) isn't a bot problem so huge that it needs anything new to be implemented. Really, I'm curious why you want there to be captchas, and more ads, when almost all humans (who aren't trying to sell them to you) agree that they are either annoying, pointless, or both. I would mind if there were pop-ups.. but google adverts are ok. - Why you guys are mad about his suggestion is kind of stupid.. This forum is to help the Network? If you so afraid of the real world and prefer to stay in your protective pink bubble then why bother posting at all. Some members just didn’t agree with the given suggestion, that’s all. Perhaps we just have a bit more experience than you and latoc. Also, prior to this post he made himself well know for his “quality” posts, but that has nothing to do with this.
