ntoo
Hi Is there a way in Zmod to edit a dff without it updating textures? I explain, I'm trying to edit a car (an existing dff with the txd associated), I import dff make some modifications and export it, then my model is plain withe ingame. I tried to find all the textures used in the model but I still got some error (can't see through glasses) I have to say that the model is working before I try to edit. So I'm wondering, is there an option in Zmodeler to just don't update material, just modify geometry. I'm using Zmodeler 2.0.8 build 897 And for those who're afraid, I don't plan on ripping anybody's work, it's for my personnal use only
pinky
You need to extract all the model textures to TGA format from the models txd file, you also have to extract all the textures to TGA from the vehicle generic texture file found in the generic textures folder. You then place these in the same folder as the model before you import it, they will be automatically placed on the model then. Once you save they will remain there unless you move the textures from the folder.

This sometimes happens with Zmod. Open the material editor and make sure on the window materials, the ones with [trans] after their name, that the opacity box is ticked. It gets unchecked for some reason and this makes your windows solid.

pinky
Only two other things I can think of is to make sure the opacity slider is down between 140 and 160, below 128 and the windows will dissapear. aLSO select the window surfaces themselves, press ALT and ENTER then look in the vertices section to make sure the material has 2 UV layers selected, if only one it will screw up the windows too. You can select the whole model and check this too as it will cause the white model in game as well. If you are really struggling PM me your model and I will take a look at it. ntoo
thanks a lot!! You found it. When I import my dff in Zmodeler, the glass are set to 1 UV layers despite it got 2 textures, I set it back to 2 export And everything works fine. Did I say thank you?
