So, yeah; just jot down some crazy game ideas you got for online free roam. Here's some of mine which I have done.

 

-Do the Swing Glitch and Vehicle Spinning Glitch.

 

-Demolition Derby (especially in the bowling alleys; Lol).

 

-Forklift Racing.

 

-Helicopter duels.

 

-2 Helicopters vs 2 On foot (at the airport).

 

-Base Jumping into helicopters.

 

-Get 16 players in a bus and go on a rampage (I heard you could do this; have yet to try it out).

 

-Rocket Golf (2 teams of 2, friendly fire off; play golf by using partner as ball; out of nine holes; try beach and bridges).

 

-Block one side of the road with buses (do the other side and some of the buses will vanish); barricade yourself with cars for cover (preferably destroyed ones) and do a Heat style shootout (and maybe some guys with rpgs on the buses)

 

-Even just hanging onto the back of a boat whilst another drives (found this out last night; but you will eventually die).

 

So you lot got ideas you wanna share?

That's creative and sounds really hilarious! I would love to try that out.

 

I have no ideas to share, but I did participate in a free mode "martial arts" competition. It was organized by someone in this forum (forgot who), and it was held in the prison. The basketball court was the ring and two people fought at a time. It didn't last long because some people started driving cars onto the ring and crap like that, but if done with the right people, it would be a lot of fun.

Yeah, I always play Free roam with about 3-4 mates and sometimes other people join, and we all have a laugh.

people are really sensitive about someone having similar ideasto the them, but i think it's safe that i came up with atleast 3 of these

 

-playing 'it' or tag, with one person trying to shoot the others when they're it and running away if they're not (you can drive)

-drifting sessions at the airport... X

-16 player shoot-out at the libertonium, with team leaders like in cops and crooks (you can go in through the back gates, with obe team already in there the other must penetrate the defnse)X

-off-road rallying (only works with a coupla cars, sentinel, sultan rs, super gt, the tracks are around the aiport and the old masion in alderny and some the motorways)X

-the heli vrs people game but there are shooters on the heli and everyone else gets to be in their choice of car (infernus, riply, firetruck, nrg900)

-drifing at the airport, different car classes, tournoments, show offs, races X

-the 'I am legend game' with my slightly altered rules. X

-free mode cops and crooks where the cops have a heli and the crooks have rpgs! and have to get to the airport.

-heli dogfights, which are similar to yours but there are three teams with 3 shooters and a pilot each, and a ref in a maverick( simply there as a target but we won't tell him that).X

 

so i got a game running for most of these (The One's Marked X), so just add me with a relevant message if you wanna play, ie: rallying!

I've lost the thread of where I originally posted these, seems to have gone cold anyway.

 

Poking the Bear (or Poking Smoky) Can't be underestimated for unsophisticated fun; just anoy the cops and then try to outrun them or hole up for a seige. When you die you lose your wanted level and are in charge of the getaway.

 

British Bulldog Catchers are allowed whatever weapons they wish - but no cars, runners get to drive - but no guns. It starts with one catcher in the middle of the Booth Tunnel (or wherever) and he has to try and stop everyone else as they charge through. Anyone who gets killed then joins the catcher's team for the next round. The winner is the only player left running.

 

The Gauntlet Only played this against the AI cops as a race, but it should work taking turns, with the other players trying to stop you instead of race you.

Start at the airport- blow up all the helicopters (flying is cheating); get a decent wanted level. Now: Last one to Happiness Island is a sissy!

Just thought of another one:

Kidnap Drifting: Find a car full of passengers and jack the driver. Pick as wriggly a route as possible through suburbia and see who can get the furthest without giving the passengers a chance to bail out.

So far no one is claiming a spectacular success rate on this, but it's all about the attempt!

It started as an idea TheBritishBulldog had for clay pigeon shooting. You could try that too.

Try and ride a plane. Ive tried a couple times but i allways fall off.

 

Get in a helicopter at the airport, hover above one of the planes on the runway then jump out and get on the plane.

vehicle tick (tag for you yanks): one person is 'it' and the other drive off. 'it' has to tag someone by crashing into them...good idea to set boundaries (like the airport only).

Fill up on body armour, rockets, sniper and assault rifle. At the airport there's a jump to a barge full of crates out at sea - at the chopper end.

get a decent wanted level in free mode and jump onto the barge (fast car req'd). Snipe cops and cop choppers, rocket cop choppers, dodge your mates cars as they jump onto the barge, geat fun. See if you can survive until you run out of ammo (taking quality shots), swim back, jack a cop car and start collecting the above weapons again until you're full, hen jump back onto the barge. Most laps w/o dying wins: but doing one lap is a great acheivement!

Yep seen it.

 

I've got another idea (but this is for GTA Race, so I'm going a little of topic).

 

Run Race - Get friends together to play this; get out cars at the start and run the race (no shooting, driving etc.); it's actually more fun than it sounds. Additionally I would suggest forklift racing but they're not an option.

How does the Demolition Derby one work in bowling alleys tho? I seem to remember the alley by the beach had a small door. Do you spawn cheat cars inside? (Can that be done in multiplayer?)

Can't really urban surf (thing I miss most from SA) because of the physics engine, you almost instantly fall off.

for those of you who xbox. i dont much care for the turf war in this game. i would have prefered it to be like san andreas, but since that is not an option i came up with a different plan.

go with a team deathmatch, it should be a full room.

agree on a specific area. (the comunication between the two teams will be by using the cell phone by the team leaders) One team will be the offensive and one will be the deffensive. when both team leaders confirm that everyone has stocked up on their health, armor, and weapons then the offensive team will attach however the team had planned and the deffense will fight to hold the ground of the chosen position. scoring and other deatials can be discussed prior

Airport NRG Stunting Emporium Watch in awe as your fellow players pull double backflipss over airplanes and then fall off when the bike decides to flip itself when upside down. Health packs will be used relenlessly.

If you like Parkour, try getting 1, 2, or possibly 3 stars and try to evade and loose the cops while only on foot. Its very fun with multiple people all running together cuase they usually find different ways to escape and you can always have a good laugh when you beat your friends or visa versa.

Add me g-tibbert[PSN]. We(all 16) can ride the helis up to a building(with no barrier , so that character can fall over) and have a "survival of the fittest fight" and see who is the last man standing.[note](just pure knuckles, no weaponsXD).

Just a thought... might be lame might be cool,i dunno.

Anyway maybe we can try it out .

ESCAPE THE TERRORISTS

(Assuming there are 16 people in the Game session)

Description of the game: Have 2-5 people be your designated terrorists to start out with. Another 2-5 players will be your designated swat team.

Terrorists try to kill the civilians but they must do a 'suicide boming' by holding onto a grenade near a civi.

The Swats job is to take down the Terrorists before they kill all of the Civis.

There is a ONE DEATH LIMIT to this gametype, which means if you are killed, you are DQ'd and done for the rest of the session.

 

Winning Conditions:

T.)Terrorists win by killing all of the Civis

T.)Terrorists lose if all of them get killed off.

S.)Civilian/Swat are on the same faction.

S.)Swat Loses if all of the Civis are killed.

S.)Swat wins if they kill all of the Terrorists

S.)Swat/Civis win if all of the terrorists die before the Civis are wiped out.

 

 

Terrorists

These terrorists will be chasing after the rest of the extra 6 or so players by obtaining the grenades and they will explode themselves into a crowd of Civis. Their job is to go next to the civilians and do a suicide bombing, killing themselves plus as many civilians as possible.

Terrorists may also attack the Swat team if deemed necessary.

 

Swat

The Swat teams job is to take down the terrorists before they kill the civilians. They may use any weapon EXCEPT the Grenades, rocket launcher, beer flame grenade.

Swat may also use Helicopters.

 

Civilians

The Civilians job is to get to safety by either hiding from the terrorists or by standing around the Swat team.

Civilians may NOT use any form of weapon. They can, however, melee attack the terrorists if possible.

Civis can drive vehicles, but they are restricted from flying Helicopters.

I find this to be an excellent idea, but due to the current nature of console-based on-line gaming, it's almost an impossibility to conceive and subsequently execute such a grandiose idea without some sort of in-game messaging (and remember, not everyone has a headset or a means of audible communication with others).

I've been in a few free-modes where people have been doing "cruises". Everyone agrees to meet up at a designated area, get a good car or your favourite car and go in convoy for a cruise around the city (mainly sticking to the highways), drive around a bit then head off to the airport as fast as you can for races (circuit and drag) burnout contests, skids, stunts, general showing off and demolition derby's etc. All without actually killing each other, and get this people actually helping other find and aquire certain cars/bikes.

 

I used to dislike free-mode but doing these "cruises" and meets is now taking up nearly all my time online now.

 

It's quite an amazing sight seeing 12 or so people in convoy in Liberty City's finest cars gunning it around the city together. Until some n00b turns up in a helicopter and decides to gun you all down.

 

Another game I enjoy is the entire lobby Vs the Police force.

The people in the lobby barracade a street off with cars/busses etc and try to fend of the cops for as long as they can. Once someone has been killed they can not re-enter the battle however they are free to spectate. Of course this never really goes to plan as people re-enter the fray and before you know it the mayhem spills out all over the place.

yea man that sounds cool. or maybe a vehicle version, with max traffic, and try to get to the opposite side of the map in the same car with friendly fire on (car each)
