boothy Posted June 2, 2008 Share Posted June 2, 2008 what lags have you came across that were funny/ annoying/ wtf? mine are: funny: in a race, cars were hopping up and down annoying: when ur in a game with 16 people in the lobby and when it says 'starting game' it loads forever wtf: in a race again, but this time, i was ahead of this guy, i looked back and he crashed, so i looked ahead again, but then he appeared out of nowhere in front of me, he didnt overtake he just appeared, and he won the race. My position was 1/1 and I could hear the other players all going WTF. What was crazy was that I could hear the explosions of people blowing up and dropping nades but couldn't see them. I did all 8 laps thinking I'll win and get the cash even as it said 1/1 and so did a load of other players. WAAAAY behind first place (down by about 2500), but about 1000 ahead of third. About 9 players or so in total in game. For some reason, the game started respawning us almost on top of each other at that dock that sticks out. And for whatever reason, nobody was shooting for a couple of seconds. So me and one other guy who managed to escape the pig pile were able to spend about 45 seconds shooting at the pile almost randomly. Because they kept spawning on top of each other and were basically tripping over each other, none of them could really do anything about it. By the time someone was able to get enough control over their character and take us out, i was within $300 of first place. Unfortunately, there was only about 12 seconds to go, and I ended up losing anyway. But it was still hilarious. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, this happens to me every once in a while and it is a great way to make some money. Almost wish it was an actual respawn mode. "Very Near" Other than that in multiplayer I've seen a ped walking across the street in the air, seen a ped just shoot straight up in the air and saw a sanchez driving around by it self. I've watched cars fly over walls completely off the track then suddenly appear right in front of me....funny how everytime I fly over a wall I never magically appear back on the track.... Dazzellerr Posted August 1, 2008 Share Posted August 1, 2008 last night my clan was messing around in free roam. i invited some guy to play at random, we kept killing him over and over. anyways, i watch as one of my fellow members decides to go a fist him up (by this time the poor kid just set his controller down i think and walked away.) so he goes up to the kid, kicking his ass, when the kids character slides sideways ot of the range of my buddies fists of fury. i expected him to turn and face the kid and continue to kill him, but he just kept punching the air where the kid was. the kid's indicator was blinking indicating damage from the punches but my buddy was nowhere near him, more like 3 feet away punching air. i notice this alot on DM too where someone will come up to me trying to kill me with their fists and i get to running away to get better positioning, they are still 10 feet away punching, slicing, ect and i end up dying. kinda weird, lag switch perhaps?
