JasonThummel
Post your best shootout/rampage locations. Where is it and what makes it a good location? So I was driving around Los santos and I came across this building that I have passed by easily over 200 times and have never checked it out until today. Its pretty good for nonstop rampaging with a minigun and its a fairly secure area. The stairs leading up to the building provide a challenge for police vehicles as there are pillars guarding the entrance. The roof is open but the police helicopters have difficulty shooting at you as you take out the oncoming officers. And just incase you feel like making a run for it, park a fast car in the far corner to keep it safe until you need it. Check it out, good for at least 5 minutes of fun. !!GC!!
That looks like an awesome place for a shootout. I'll try it out tomorrow. Actually, i have never seen that place either, the only time im in that area is speeding along to get back to Grove Street. I'll have to stop by and scope it out before i start destroying things. Btw, that looks like an awesome ride you have there.
lazy34
The Pay-n-Spray behind the 2nd floor of Wang Cars (overlooking the freeway) is one of my rampage spots. If the helicopters are too much just walk inside the Pay-n-Spray and they'll go away for a while. If you get in too much trouble you can run to the nearby armor pickup. The police will spawn on the freeway above you so you don't have to worry about them spawning in front of you. When you finish simply grab one of the cars in the Wang Cars showroom (or parking lot). For getting points towards becoming the "King of San Andreas" I get a Rhino from Area 69 and shoot down the police mavericks with it (30 points each). I turn Area 69 into the helicopter graveyard. The other tanks won't interfere because they can't spawn inside the compound...

That's a great place for a shoot out. The Police helicopters eventually hover over the square and shoot at you, but they don't do much damage if you dodge behind the pillars and you can shoot them down. I stayed there for about 5 minutes and then I hijacked one of the many tanks that were trying to batter down the pillars (in vain). Then I continued the rampage in the tank Steve

Steve Well, police choper come to the spot only through the east side to the cabin and there are a lot of trees which they tend to crash in. Girish
btw Nice Quality and uhm wer did ya get yOur minigun Check out this weapons map. The one in LV (top right part of LV) is the easiest to get. It's located in an underground parking lot. Another easy way to obtain a minigun is if you have completed the mission 'Vertical Bird'. It'll then spawn at Toreno's ranch in Tierra Robada. JasonThummel
"It'll then spawn at Toreno's ranch in Tierra Robada. " Then just keep saving the game and picking up the minigun in the house. Thats how I got my ammo I tried my government building rampage again. The hardest and funnest part is trying to make a run for pay and spray with a 5 star wanted level. (I personally find it more challenging than a 6 star wanted level) So I decided to drive through the water fountain 50 yards straight infront of the building with FBI trucks hot on my tail, luckly I installed a suspension in my car... Anyways I took a wrong turn and found myself heading towards the further pay and spray. I was getting shot at and rammed the whole way there, and just a block from my destination my car set on fire. I was forced back into this alleyway and began creating a barricade of FBI ranchers at the entrance way, Im still playing now, good fun! grahamsubaru
Get a jet pack from the landing strip or use cheat code. Fly on to the cable cars in san fierro and do "drive-bys". Loads of fun and when you've finished jump off next to a car and get in.
gtamodder
At the Airstrip, if you have a minigun, and when the Helicopters come, go under the Hangars so the Helicopters can't shoot you.
JasonThummel
Really fun area right here near Santa Maria. My escape car blew up though, what with all the exploding police cars and everything. Gonna try to make a run for the water and grab the hovercraft in the canal. I drove carefully around perimeter of the beach, avoiding Hydra rockets barrelling towards my hovercraft. I then drove up the beach and into the nearby pay and spray. JasonThummel
Another awesome location with all the necessary perks - Helicopter cover, good visibility, getaway vehicle storage, and a nearby pay and spray (not even a block away). There's escapes everywhere including two doors and all the windows that can be smashed through. Its in the middle of nowhere so your going to have to bring loads of ammo to start something. !!GC!!
Yeah, i was going to suggest the Marina area actually. It looks like a great place to start a massive war. That building in El Que looks awesome as well. I'll try that after the first one you posted in this topic.
JasonThummel
Been playing around on top of the police station. You need to use a car with a high suspension and decent climbing power. (or cheat But I dont like to.)

OG Viking
Many good places posted here. Good topic! I like any place that offers some cover from helicopters and has armour spawning nearby. Some examples in random order: - The flood control trench north-east of the Johnson house. Why: Armour under the bridge. Nearby tunnel that leads to the 7-storeyed parking house (NRG bike). Near said safe house. Easy route to Idlewood Pay 'n Spray, following the canal. Police bribe nearby. - That block east of Perhing Square, where CJ and Big Smoke fight against the Ruskies in the "Just Business" mission. Elevated walkways and near a small parking house. Why: Armor spawns inside that building. Nice spot to kill everything down at street level. A corner under the freeway offers shelter from police choppers. Vehicles spawns in the little parking house, and there's an nearby access to the flood control canal. - Railroad tunnels Why: It's dark and cool in there. - At safe house in Blueberry. Why: Safe house, and a Sprunk vending machine outside. Buildings make it hard for cop vehicles to enter the inner area. Shelter from helicopters. - Inside police stations, after CJ has become fireproof. Why: Two body armours spawns there. No choppers or police vehicles. Use flamethrower or molotovs for bbq. --Vega--
There were so many good places in San Andreas to have shootouts.. too many to name. But some of my favorites were: Caligula's Casino The Four Dragons Casino Any of the 3 enterable police stations, but especially the one in Las Venturas Area

OrionSR
My favorite spot for a rampage is inside the bunker at the SF Navy Base. The only time I use it is when I'm padding weapon skills and respect early in the game so the wanted level is fixed at 4 stars. The advantages to this location are: CJ can bring a bike to use for an escape for more health or armor when necessary. If the bike gets a flat then there's a boat that offers a quick escape to the dry dock for another NRG. Only foot cops spawn, and the room is large enough to control the spawn rate after the first group. The footcops score the highest respect and can be handled with any skilled weapon. The bunker offers protection from helicopters, SWAT, and cops with shotguns.
JasonThummel
Where is the bunker located within the base? Everyone has to try this one sooner or later, just drive a bike up the ramp and start blowing sh*t up from the top level.
pgtipsp
just about my favourite are is located in the railroad/industrial sector of los santos - in the mission where you take out the warehouse, to the left of that compound is a railyard shed with several parked rail cars inside (its next to the freeway that runs past the port) - its great becaus its a deep enough building with many things to hide behind if the boys in blue start to overwhelm you, a road in front of the main entrance so youll always have police/swat/fbi/army to fight, roof protection from helicopters, two pickups inside (armour and a sawnoff shotgun in two different rail cars), and its close to the ak47 pickup located inside the main warehouse in the same compound. its also in sprinting distance of the flood control system the docks in general is a very over looked area of los santos - its actually my favourite because it has lots of cool warehouses to have battles in, as well as a good road system for racing around in another of my favourite places is a multi storey car park in east beach - (its next to that alley you exit the tunnels on the back of the motorbike in that big smoke mission where you fight the russians) inside are grenades, nrg500s, and an uzi i think - it has several levels, protection from helis, but you can also go right to the top onto the roof to fight them if you want another one is the car park and roof of the shamrock casino in north las venturas. its the one thats at the very end of the main LV strip - if you follow the road round to the back of the building there is a car park - go in, and go up to the top (collecting the RPG on the way) and out onto the staircase leading to the rooftop helipad - cops spawn right at the top and come running down the stairs meaning that if you shoot them when they are on the exterior staircase the fall of the side of the building and hit the round about 10 stories down also a helicopter spawns on the roof pad sometimes so you can make your escape with that, or one of the many cars in the car park itself have fun, good topic jason
