i dont get it like on deathmatch i could be shoot at someone and dey turn around give me bout 3 shoots or something and der im dead.my health a be full and the others can just shoot me and im dead i got it on ps3 and im not the only one i seen other ppl on the forum have the same problem i mean im petty good from time to time ppl like to roll ppl ova i dodge out the way and stuff but its me getting shot always blast me up lol

any tips or something to help me get more successfull in the game lol

here some tips i founded:

* it's easier to fight from a defensive position. so only approach a target at the edge of their weapon range and then take cover behind a solid object.

*let them come to you, usually the impatient person loses the firefight because they charge with half a clip of ammo, or they get tired of waiting for the other person to pop out, and charge instead.

*when in cover or crouching, your nametag disappears making you difficult to spot, however they can still auto-lock onto you

*learn to roll... L2 + Left + Square. this move is essential if you want to take out an Infernus with nothing but a pistol.

*always grab assault rifles over body armor.

*you can pickup health icons by driving over them.

*make headshots.. if auto aim is on, just learn to slightly tilt the right analog up to get a clean headshot. if auto aim is off, be sure to keep your reticle at head height and sometimes, strafing acroos the targets head is easier than aiming at it.

*if you're trying to run over people, approach them at a curved angle so their reticle tracks behind you... approaching them head on gives them an easy shot.

*when you hit people with a car, don't expect them to die. expect to stop to fire bullets into their body.

* if somone has an RPG, get a sniper rifle or snipe him long range with an assault rifle (you'll know you're out of range if you can see him, but auto lock won't target hiim)

*if your opponents like to use cover.. then load up on grenades

*when setting an ambush, wait for the target to get into the open before you open fire.. remember you're behind cover so he can't see your nametag

*don't wear bright colors

I usualy crouch around, being patient.. If you see a bush then crouch in it because its hard for people to spot you.

I always go for the head-shot. Especialy if the other person has a better weapon.

Also, crouching increases your accuracy, so if someone is running away or doesnt see you, crouch and shoot at their fat heads <3 barf8bd.gif

Actually, armor > assault rifle. Because if auto aim is on you can easily kill someone with the pistol, and they can't to you as easily because you have body armor.

And if auto aim isn't on, just take cover and stepout of blind fire and shoot. It is much more steady than if you shoot while running.

mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.

I'm not at all well-versed in "Death Match" or its slower-paced alternative, "Team Death Match"; however, considering you all offer useful tips and strategies concerning the aforementioned modes of play, I may have to play them a little more often than I am currently accustomed to doing.

Thank you all.

Care to do a 1v1, you get all the armor and pistols you want, and I get an assault rifle?

I'm pretty sure all the body armor in the world won't save you when you get popped in the head a couple times.

It's really quite simple. First of all, always go for headshots. When you lock on to someone, simply move your right analog stick a tad up to aim for their head. There is no exception, that's why you get killed in a few shots. Second, short bursts are your friend. If you hold down the trigger, you'll be far less accurate and waste all of your ammo very quickly. Control your fire.

And lastly, crouching is very useful, use it. It makes you more accurate, it causes the name above your head to dissappear, and it makes you harder to hit. Just don't stay crouched for too long, as you become an easy target after a while. These tips should make you a much better deathmatch player.

Depress your R3 button for enhanced view when firing, it makes headshots a lot easier. Of course, all the advice in the world can't help you if you're a n00b at heart devil.gif

Don't make the usual noob mistake of grabbing a heli and thinking you've got gold-plated death in your hands. Unless you're very, very good (and more than a little lucky), the heli guns are borderline worthless for hitting ground targets, but being in a chopper makes you a good target. The helicopter is mainly good for moving across the map fast, landing on rooftops, ferrying your teammates and MAYBE piloting a good sniper around in the passenger cabin.

RPGs: if you want to blow yourself up fast, get one and don't pay sharp attention to what you're shooting at. Don't fire a rocket from behind a fence. Be careful trying to take corner shots with one. Don't bother trying to hit a human target directly - aim for the surrounding environment. Fire at the street they're standing on and watch them go flying.

If you see a rocket coming at you, the best dodge is to run right at it and just off to one side. Let it go by and blow up behind you while you lock onto the shooter and start firing headshots. You'll probably kill him before he can switch to a real gun and kill you, and then you've got his RPG.

If you're a big TDM player, go into it with people you know (if you can) and coordinate with mics. It makes a huge difference.

Also, in timed TDM, I've noticed that most players start with one of three strategies: some go looking for guns, some go looking for cars. Instead, check the map, coordinate with your teammates and head straight to the nearest opposing team. You'll find guns and cars en route, and even if you don't, you shouldn't be wasting valuable time on a scavenger hunt. Get in there and get some.

Get a good vendetta going against one opposing team. You'll tend to spawn near them, and after awhile you'll piss them off and they'll come gunning for you, too. You can make a lot more money fighting World War III with one team than a bunch of pissy battles with whoever you happen upon on the street.

Get into the reloading habit and don't go into a battle with less than a full clip. You'll probably end up gunned down while you take your sweet time reloading.

Don't stand out in the middle of the freakin' street to shoot people.

Watch the radar and don't let yourself get surrounded.

Up close = Combat Pistol or a shotgun.

Medium Range = M4.

Long distance = Sniper Rifle.

I tip I figured out the first game is just move around, with AA on when you move around they still miss, and when they stand still shooting you, instant headshot.

Just keep practicing, if you suck, don't stop.

The ONE thing that never gets mentioned is staying calm. Many players seem to panic, especially when they can't just autotarget and unload 2 or 3 clips for one kill. Having patience and being calm when shooting will give you the advantage over anybody who's freaking out. This is why I love no autotarget games when n00bs join, watching the lose their sh*t as you walk up about 5 feet from them and headshot them devil.gif

I played a DM last night with a level 5 guy who was as patient as a rock.

He'd lurk and hide...and it end up with him and me...about 5 metres apart but with the corner of a building in between us...for seriously2 or 3 minutes.

I'd lose my head and get blasted.

Then I found some hand grenades. Sure, we'd still end up around the corner from each other, but when you crouch and throw a grenade it gently rolls along the ground.

I got him 3 times before he wised up.

Heavy Mettle

Most of the tips I was gonna give have already been given.

The most important strategy I can tell you is to utilize your cover always. Engage from the corner of a building, crouched behind a dumpster, etc. The trick is to see the most of them while they see the least of you.

Tons of people buy the radar bait and come running. It's an easy way to rack up a ton of kills.

I'm starting to wonder myself. 11 hours of online mp Sunday and all night long I had problems getting kills. It has nothing to do with skill at this point, I've play tons of time online and find almost every time I get head to head with someone they kill me with 2-3 shots regardless of weapon. Meanwhile, I have had several situations where with auto-aim on or off I am drilling someone with the dot right on their body/head and see no changes in their health as I shoot for rounds and rounds.

I had instances where someone didn't see me and I had a sniper rifle within 2-3 car lengths and was zoomed in looking at them and shooting 5-6 rounds in their body or head did nothing and then they fired a few shots with a pistol and I die.

I'm not sure if it's lag. I have a pretty decent web connection here but there is something I'm just not getting or people who are geographically closer with lower latency to the servers are getting a definite advantage. It's very frustrating to die so easily.

I wear armor and know how to play this game well. Online is just awful... even moreso in the past week or so for me.

I don't know, but I agree with the posters on several threads here who have stated the same thing about this.

Wait a second. Sniper in the passenger cabin of the Helicopter? Do you mean sniping with an assault rifle or sniping with an actual sniper rifle? I haven't played any DM matches where Helis have been available, but in Free Mode, it does not let me use my Sniper Rifle in any helicopter seat.

They just mean zig zag as you approach or approach them in a more circular pattern instead of driving head on because they can just AA you through the windshield. If you are zig zagging or swerving in, the AA tracks behind you so only the car takes damage. Takes a little practice but I get out of a lot of nasty situations by using that technique to escape when I get caught out there in a car.
