Just so you know, this is the last mission, but they'll be a short narrative chapter after it.

The Blood Stained Tide

Cut Scene

Billy and CJ sit in a Patriot, just down the road from the Leone mansion’s gates. In Billy’s hands are the two colt pythons that Stark used, he tucks and then puts on an armoured vest. CJ passes him an M4 machine gun from the back seat, and then takes one out for himself. They both check the clips, remove the silencers, then lock and load. Billy takes out a picture of Andy from his pocket, for a few silent moments he stares at the face of his dead brother.

Carl: You ready?

Billy: Yeah, I’m ready.

Carl withdraws a rocket launcher from the backseat and hands it to Billy, who stands up and aims out of the sunroof.

End of Cut Scene

The camera is over Billy’s shoulder as he’s stood in the sunroof, aiming the rocket launcher. Carl begins to drive.

Carl: Blow out that f*cking gate Billy.

As you pass the gate, it’s crawling with Leone men, all wearing body armour and carrying machine guns. The gate is blocked with cars and chained up, fire a well placed rocket as you pass.

Cut Scene

The camera follows the ignited rocket as it zooms from the launcher, straight in to the heart of the gate. The camera cuts to Peter Leone, standing on his balcony, carrying a shotgun. The gates to the house explode, as well as all of the cars blocking them. The fireball climbs high, well above the trees and consumes them in the violent blast. A large slab of the brick wall flies past Peter and smashes through the boarded up window behind him; crushing a man inside.

Peter: Don’t let them inside the house! Kill them!

End of Cut Scene

You are now in front of the burning gate, armed to the teeth. About twenty men are approaching from the house, take cover behind some burning wreckage and open fire.

Prepare for the toughest battle in all of the game. Try to hit the men in the head and legs because of the body armour. Throw grenades to help clear them.

Men are now standing on the roof, the balconies, all over the porch and behind the windows. The gunfire is unbelievable, take cover as quick as you can and return fire.

Slowly, edge forward from cover to cover and kill nearby men with Carl, blind fire back at the army of thugs ahead. Try to take hotshots at their heads. Slowly but surely you manage to loosen up the immense amount of gunfire and make a break to aim with your rocket launcher.

Equip it rocket launcher and blind fire with it. The rockets slam in to the roof, the front windows and the balcony. The roof collapses, partially, with the men still stood on it. The front windows and wall are completely blown out and the balcony plummets to the garden below. Move forward and pick off any wounded men left.

Cut Scene

A thug jumps out with a rocket launcher and takes a shot. It hits a car behind you and Carl, sending you both flying forward, to the ground. Billy jumps back up almost instantly and shoots the thug in the head. He tries to resuscitate Carl, who’s knocked out cold. A few more men run out of a door, Billy kills them all with a burst on gunfire. After he stops shooting, he throws away the M4 and withdraws his two revolvers.

End of Cut Scene

Billy: Peter! I know you’re in there! Come on out!

Climb the porch steps with the two colt pythons, brick, glass and fire are everywhere. Use the walls as cover to slowly move through the front room, just dead bodies. Carefully open the door to the kitchen, using the wall as cover. The table is overturned and men are hiding behind it. Fire round the corner with one of the pythons. The men inside have shotguns and blow the door of its hinges. Keep firing, taking careful headshots from around the corner and eventually you kill them all.

Another large group of men have barricaded the top of the staircase, use any cover you can and throw some grenades up. The cramped hallway upstairs doesn’t give them many places to hide. Once the grenades explode charge up and finish off any remaining men.

Once they’re dead, a ‘P’ appears on your radar, in the corner room of the large house. When you reach it, step in to the red marker.

Cut Scene

Peter stands with his back against the corner; the highly furnished office wasn’t where he planned to die. He’d listened to Billy make his way through his house, his Father’s house. All his friends and associates were probably dead, all over the furniture in a gory massacre. He had no idea how right he was.

The doorknob slowly turned. Without hesitation, Peter fired a shell off at head height. The bullets ripped though the mahogany door, leaving a hole the size of a basketball. Peter watched intently, did he hit him? Once the smoke cleared, he was proved wrong. A colt python pushed itself through the hole and began shooting randomly around the room. Peter is hit in his arm, causing him to drop his shotgun. The door bursts open, and in steps Billy Hogan.

Billy: Peter Leone, so nice to see you again.

Peter: F*ck you! This is how it ends eh? You shooting an unarmed man in his own house?!

Billy: What about my brother? The one who died in that f*cking car bomb! Couldn’t come and kill me yourself could you? You f*cking coward!

Peter: You’re the one who shot my uncle right in his face with a rifle from across the street! You’re the f*cking coward and you and your brother got what you f*cking deserved!

Billy goes to fire one of the pythons, but it clicks; no bullets. He holsters it, and then aims with his other…

But Peter’s too quick; he withdraws an axe and pounces on Billy, with the hatchet raised above his head.

End of Cut Scene

Peter’s on top of you, quickly tap square to try and win the grapple. Hit the button as hard as you can. The two struggles on the floor, butting and biting each other. You manage to kick him off and send him back in to the corner of the room. Run back at him, withdrawing your python. He takes a swing with the axe and slams it right in to the top of Billy’s head. You let out a hysterical scream, as blood gushes down your head and all down your body. Peter pulls out the axe, pulling a big chunk of skull and a sloppy spray of blood with it.

Cut Scene

Billy’s on his knees, full of blood.

Peter: Not so tough now are you? When will you little f*cks learn? You’re not big enough to stand up to us, nobody is. If you dare whack one of us, you’ll all pay for your insolence with you and your family’s lives.

Billy manages to aim his pistol, and shoots Leone in the knee. Peter screams and drops down to the ground. With his last adrenaline, Big Devil stands up and pushes Peter through the window, falling through with him. They fall down a smaller rooftop below, punching and butting each other on the way down. The python falls from his hand and lands on the path.

Peter lands on his back, his head smashes off the driveway with a fierce crack. Billy puts his hands around Leone’s throat and begins to throttle him, but it’s not enough. Just as it seems he’ll pass out, Peter manages to swing the axe in to Billy’s side. He screams in pain as the blade implants itself in his ribs. He falls on his back, staring up at the red sky.

Peter composes himself and manages to stand up. With brute force, he grabs Billy’s head and drags him to his knees.

Peter: Here you are now, you little piece of sh*t. What have you got to say before I chop your f*cking head off?

Billy stays silent, the camera moves around his back as he withdraws Oxi’s machete.

Peter: You’ve come to my city… destroyed my house… and tried to murder me?

Peter swings back with the axe…

Billy pulls out the machete and lunges it in to his stomach. He stops dead in his tracks, the camera pans around 360 degrees and we see the bloody blade sticking out of his spine. Blood dribbles down from Leone’s mouth. He takes a few small steps backwards…

Billy looks in awe, as the killing machine stays conscious and very much alive. Peter manages a smile through his blood stained teeth. Then he moves forward again, axe in hand.

Suddenly, the sound of an approaching car becomes very apparent. Carl, driving the Patriot, comes crashing through the smoke and fire. Before Peter has a chance to react, he slams in to him, sending him flying down the steep cliffs behind the Leone home. He falls down the jagged rocks, bouncing from one to another. His bones snap and shatter as he falls.

The screen fades to black.

Peter: Go on then… do it, what are you waiting for?

The screen fades back in to a beautiful sunset, Billy stands on the beach at the bottom of the cliff. Peter is on his knees, looking out to the sea. Billy is stood behind him, holding the loaded Python.

Peter closes his eyes tightly, waiting.

Billy aims the gun to the back of his head, then fires.

Blood sprays on to the calm waves as the tide gently rolls in.

Wow, so Billy survived a chop to the head, the side and a high fall? That's pretty cool, unrealistic, but I can live with that. smile.gif

Brilliant, pacy and downright macabre writing Will. Congrats Will, you've captivated most of WD with this piece.

The Unvirginiser

Billy sat on a bench, surrounded by the tranquil garden of the cemetery. Brian and Andy’s funeral had been very small and quiet, but still extremely touching. The rest of the Grove had left, but Billy stayed, deep in thought.

Was all of this his fault? All the murder, all the losses suffered by loved ones? He knew it was; he wasn’t going to lie to himself. After burying his brother, he didn’t know how he could live with himself. His trance was broken by a young man sitting down beside him.

“Do you remember me?” The man asked in a thick British accent.

“No, sorry I can’t say that I do.”

“We met at Las Payadas, when you killed Desmond King.” Billy remembered, the wounded British man that he left to the police to deal with.

“I remember, yeah,” Billy wasn’t phased in the slightest by the potential threat, “so, you’re here to kill me are you?”

“No mate, I’m not. I’m here to thank you.” He replied.

“For what? Leaving you to the police and not shooting you?”

“You’ve made me realise a lot of things mate, you’ve changed my life. All what you said about people like me and you having no hope, not being missed by anybody.”

“So what, you’re giving up the life?”

“I don’t know lad, maybe. I’ve got a big city to go back to, and after you killed my bosses, it’s just waiting for somebody to take the opportunity.”

“And what? You’re gonna’ rise to the top?”

“Who knows?”

Billy withdrew one of the Revolvers.

“Listen, you take this, I don’t need it anymore. I’m gonna’ keep the other.” The man looked at the gift with awe.

“Thank-you, I have to leave now. I’m catching a plane back home to Sunny Manchester.”

“What’s your name?”

“Scott, I won’t forget you Billy.” Scott smiled, then turned and walked off in to the sunlight.

Billy span the revolver’s barrel, entranced in deep thought. Another stranger sat down beside him, a small elderly man wearing a black suit.

“Can I help you?” Billy asked.

Without warning, the man grasped Billy and kissed him on his lips. In shock, Billy didn’t move. The stranger let go of the embrace, smiled and then quickly left. It took a few seconds to gather all the information in his head, he slowly realised he’s just received the kiss of death. Billy flinched at the sound of his phone ringing.

“Hello?”

“Hello, maybe you can guess who this is. I’m sanding in a ruined mansion, holding the body of my dead son.”

“Mr. Leone, how nice to hear from you.”

“I trust you received my message?”

“I did, I did. You’ll never intimidate me, and I’m past the point of caring whether I live or die.”

“Well I hope my son’s corpse visits you in the night. I hope he enters your dreams and plagues your conscious.”

“You think I care for your son?”

“Yes, yes I do. I think you’re a cold blooded killer and it tears at your soul. I know that there are nights that you wake up screaming to the sound of the families, hysterical with horror. There’s not a man alive who’s ever insulted the family name and the Leones aren’t starting with you. Don’t forget about me Billy, because I haven’t forgotten about you.” He hung up.

Billy withdrew Oxi’s machete from his jacket and laid it gently against his wrist. It was all over, one way or another. In his other hand, he held the revolver, and span the barrel again with his thumb. Could he go back to Grove Street? Could he escape with the bank money and never be seen again? Before him was an empty grave, just beside his Brother’s, he stared intently for what seemed like hours.

Billy sat in the warm, Los Santos sunlight and pondered over what to do next.

That's it. It's all over. After 28 pages it's over and I must say, this has to be the greatest thing ever to be written in WD. The size of this and the amount of time spent on it is something you should be proud of Will. I started following this a while back and I started liking it more and more after every mission. The quality of this never dipped, whether it was a short and sweet mission or it was a long, epic mission.

Talking about mssions, my favourite would have to have been the robbery, that was the mission, the stand-out moment in a sea of memorable bits.

But the missions weren't just memorable, the characters were as well. Sure some of them were already established in some of the other GTA game, but characters like Billy and Andy were mentioned, but not established, so you did a great job bringing them to life Will. But my favourite character, which I've mentioned to you before, has to be Oxi. Based on a certain perfectionist, Oxi was such a great character, one of the best in WD.

About the ending, fantastic. An excellent ending to an excellent story. We all know Billy's dead by the time of San Andreas, so it's more than likely that he'll probably be killed by the Leones after getting the kiss of death. I hope he gets a bit of happiness before he dies, listen to me, caring for a character in a game script, but that's not a bad thing. Not for you anyway Will.

And Scott, I think we all know where Scott's going to end up.

But like I said before, fantastic work Will. Really fantastic work. I can't wait to read Oxi or the sequel. I just hope they'll be as good as this has been..

An interview, conducted by MasterKraft.

First off, let me say that San Andreas Stories is an epic delivery for the best part of 2008 and 2009. It's been dominating to say the least. Where did your idea come from to do a game script based on the events of San Andreas?

Thank-you very much. Well, about this time last year, I went on holiday with my girlfriend. The night before we left, I watched 'Boyz In The Hood' on TV. I don't know, something just clicked in my head. I'd been thinking of what I could write a script about for months after seeing the success of the Heart City Stories trilogy by Tony Zimmzy. I spent the holiday lounging by the pool, dreaming up ideas for missions and characters. When I got back, I spent a few nights on all of the Grand Theft Auto fan sites, learning all the fine details of the storylines I'd forgotten, and thinking of the holes I could fill between the games.

Nothing like brainstorming by the pool. Which in your opinion do you think the hardest character was to write for?

I think capturing the innocence I wanted the audience to feel for Andy was difficult. All the way through the story, I wanted people to feel saddened by Andy's death. Also, the King twins, especially Damien, were hard to capture. I can write a fat, power hungry gangster easily enough for Desmond, but a cold, calculated sociopath was more difficult.

Staying on the subject of death, which was the hardest to write? Surely when you conceived the story you weren't sure who would make it and who wouldn't.

Well, Andy's fate was sealed from day one because of San Andreas. Oxi was a hard character to write a death for, I wanted him to go out with a serious bang. Firstly, I was just going to have him die when he fell from the chopper, but then I decided to make him go out in style. I think my favourite death was Mr. Silverman's, getting surrounded by a gang of Russian mobsters and shot to death? Can't beat that.

If you could go back to the Will sat by the pool, what would you tell him to change, if anything?

Well, I'd tell him to lose a bit of weight and break one of his future ex-best friend's necks.

But about writing? Well, I'd organise the first missions and the first post better. Then I'd sort out all the formatting and sh*t. Basically, if you look, there's a pattern in the writing style, it starts off a bit sh*tty and then slowly works uphill. I'd probably tell him to put 100% in to everything, as I did towards the end.

Yeah, there's a definite change of style. Obviously SAS has amassed a cult following. Considering this, what are your future plans?

Well there's another script in the works and a story following Oxi's earlier life.

Where's this untitled script set, still in San Andreas?

Nope, we're going all the way to Sunny Manchester, England. But, without giving away too much, some will be set in San Andreas. They'll be some missions that will be viewed from another character's perspective.

Which were your favourite missions to write? Obviously there's been some thrilling moments, but which captivated you?

Oh, God, there's been so many. The boxing mission at the beginning, the Las Payadas shootout. The one where you attacked Verdant Meadows in the chopper, the cargo ship mission. The big heist at the end, as well as the death of Max Stark, it's hard to pick a favourite. But I must say, the act called 'The Game' was really enjoyable to write, seeing all them characters die.

Sounds complex. Finally, what would you like to say to those that have followed SAS from page one?

I'd say thanks, thank-you for spending your time dedicating yourself to following everything. I just hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

If you could Pm me, I'd love to get that file from you. I don't know about Rockstar, I might do. But I can't see them publishsing anything that's free to see already - But I might do, just for them to read the game that never was.

The other two endings? Maybe, maybe not. I'll decide sooner or later, keep your eye out for my next script and don't be afraid to contact me about ideas.

You have to post the other endings!

It would show whether he would be killed in the epilogue, or perhaps never receive the call? I really would love to see the other endings, it would add a perspective to the official one, and allow us to truly pick our fave. Nice work, once again. icon14.gif

Well the mysterious Caribean guy that was Oxi's partner is still an open plot...

Or what happened to Tommy when he got taken to jail. How he escaped again or something in that line...

Really the options are incredible.
