Act One: The Beginning

Cut scene

The screen is black, but slowly zooms out revealing that it was zoomed in on a pupil.

It zooms out until two eyes of a black man are in focus, sweat runs down his nose and his eyes look wide and bloodshot.

We hear him gasping for air and he is shaking.

A white flashes cuts the scene and we see two black men in a car, pulling up to a curb.

The one on the left is Billy “Big Devil” Hogan, the one on the right is Tony Harrison.

The scene cuts to the wheel of the car stopping on the curb.

The door of the car opens and the camera slowly rises up to the window.

Billy, who was sat in the passengers seat opens the door and exit’s the car.

He shuts it and the puts his head back in through the window.

Camera cuts to a first person view of Tony, looking toward the Billy, sticking his head through the window. Behind him is Cluckin’ Bell.

Billy (Smiling) : And Smoke want’s his usual does he?

Tony: Yeah, you sure you got enough money for his banquet?

Billy laughs and waves then turns around and walks towards Cluckin' Bell.

The camera slowly looks around the car in Tony’s first person view. We see his hand tapping and singing along to “Express Yourself” by NWA on the radio.

Distantly down the street a Balla car is seen towards the camera.

The camera leans forward as Tony looks in to the distance.

Tony: Sh*t! C’mon Billy.

Franticly Tony taps his hands on the wheel faster and faster

Tony: C’mon, c’mon, c’mon!

He looks to the right and sees Billy struggling to open the doors to Cluckin’ Bell with all the food in his hands.

The song ends and the Radio Los Santos DJ begins talking.

The camera turns to the Balla car as it gets closer.

A gang member wearing purple colours sticks his head out of the back window, with a Desert Eagle in his hand.

We see Tony’s hands turn the key to the engine.

The Balla opens fire, the camera shakes and splatters with blood as each bullet hits Tony. We see his hands up, desperately trying to protect himself.

The last thing we see from Tony’s view is another Balla standing through the sunroof, throwing a Molotov cocktail towards the car.

The camera cuts to just behind Billy, who is diving to the floor, dropping all his food.

We see the cocktail land inside the blood splattered and bullet ridden car.

The shot turns to slow motion black and white as we see the flames spread all over the car, consuming Tony.

The camera cuts to a close up of Billy’s face, which is splattered with blood and has the fire reflected in his eyes.

The shot goes back to normal and Billy gets up, runs past the burning car and withdraws two pistols from his pants.

As the Balla car speeds away Billy chases it down the street, firing the two pistols as it crosses the bridge near the Los Santos Clukin’ Bell.

The camera cuts back to the burning car and slowly zooms in on the flames until it goes black.

It then zooms out and once again we realise that it is zooming out of two pupils.

This time it reveals the full face, which is Billy’s.

As the camera continues to zoom out we see that he is on a plane, dressed in jeans and a hoody. He is sweating and shaking from the flash back of Tony’s death.

Stewardesses’ and people walk about the plane and we hear the pilot’s voice on the speaker system.

Pilot: We are now on our final approach to Las Venturas airport, thank you for flying with Juank-air and we hope to see you again soon.

The camera cuts to the runway and we see the plane in the distance, slowly coming in. The sun is bright and the airport is busy with planes.

As Billy speaks it comes closer and closer.

Billy: My name is Billy “Big Devil” Hogan… I’ve come to Las Venturas to start a new life and leave behind the gangbanging lifestyle of Los Santos.

When Tony died, I decided enough was enough, I had to either get out or stay there the rest of my life.

The Plane lands and slows to a stop just near the camera.

Billy: I’ve got a new job now doing the only thing I‘m good at. It’s gonna be more glamorous, I’m gonna make some real money and have a fresh start.

Cool, love the detail you've put into this. Looks like another great game script is making it's way on here.

However, a few things; The Leones seem to be messed up in your intro... Toni Cipriani is a relatively low-rank member in LCS (1998), as he wasn't made yet so I dunno how much he'd be considered a "close ally". Also, Vincenzo Cilli wrangles his way up the Leone ranks whilst Toni is on the run in the years prior to LCS, so in '87 he'd not be capo. Also, Salvatore is said to have been in charge of the Leones since the mid-80s, I duno if '87 would count as mid or late '80s though.

1987 would be late 80's, I'd presume, so that makes sense that Salvatore is in charge.

The Champ

Cut scene

A montage of knockouts from the same, large black boxer flash quickly on the screen with a fast paced beat in the background.

The boxer is shorter than his opponents but wider and has short black hair.

A voice booms over the montage.

Voice: 24 wins, 22 by knockout. Nothing can stop Madden from beating Nicky Ward at Caligula’s!

Madden appears on screen, zoomed in on him being interviewed after a fight, he has a strong lisp.

Madden: I’m gonna savagely ravage that punk-ass cracker bread bitch! Nicky Ward you wait I’m gonna rip off your testicles and grind them up with my bicep! You English white boy can’t f*ck with me, a real man!

Reporter: Tyrone you knocked your opponent two with two punches… do you feel that maybe one day you will kill somebody in the ring?

Madden: f*ck you man!

Madden bits off the head of the microphone and walks away from in interview.

The camera zooms out and it shows that the video was on a television in Las Venturas airport, being watched by Billy.

Voice over of Billy: My new boss, Tyrone Madden. I can’t wait, partying, women, kicking ass at press conferences and boxing matches., things are really looking up.

The camera cuts to a view of two black men sat on the bonnet of a black Vincent outside of the terminal doors wearing suits.

One is tall and older and the other is younger and stocky.

Billy exit’s the airport with a bag over his shoulder.

First man: Are you Billy Hogan?

Billy: Yeah

First man: My name is Craig Craft, we spoke over the phone?

Billy: Oh Mr. Craft!

They shake hands

Billy: Good to meet you sir

Craig: I am Tyrone’s manager, this is Luke Larnce, he is head of security.

Billy: Sup

They shake hands

Craig: Were gonna go up to Caligula’s and get you settled in and strapped up, you mind showing me you’re a capable driver?

Billy: Sure thing

Cut Scene Ends

You are now in control of Billy.

A Text box appear in the top left of the screen.

Press triangle to enter the car.

Once you are in the car another appears:

Press R2 to accelerate, L2 to break and triangle to exit.

Craig: You just take a left at that road there, where that cab is heading.

You set off driving, heading towards Caligula’s.

Luke: So… you used to be a Santos gangster did you?

Billy: You could say that.

Craig: Well we’ve done our research and we know you can handle yourself, which is good. The champ will like you, he was raised in Liberty City and learned ho to fight there.

Billy: I used to be the amateur champ when I was about sixteen-

Craig: A left here

Billy: Yeah, just kind of got bored and gave up.

Craig: Well I hope you have a better attitude towards this job son, if you play your cards right you can make a lot of money working for the champ. Take a right here.

An orange marker is in front of the Caligula’s doors.

Another text box appears: These markers activate things such as cut scenes and missions.

You drive in to the marker.

Cut Scene

The three walk across the busy casino door towards the elevator at the back. Billy is smiling, absorbing the sights and sounds of Venturas around him. They reach the elevator and Craig pushes the button.

Almost immediately the doors open and a man steps out with two bodyguards. He is fat and has grey hair, wearing a brown shirt with the top buttons open, revealing his hairy chest and medallion. He is accompanied by two large bodyguards.

Craig: Mr Sindacco, how are you sir?

Mr Sindacco slaps Craig on the cheek softly and smiles.

Mr Sindacco: Craig my boy, I’m good, how is the champ?

Craig: All pumped up ya’know, the big fights soon.

Mr Sindacco: Aah! That’s more like it, you make sure he works his ass off up there my boy. Anything you need you let me know!

Craig: Thank you sir

Mr Sindacco: I got to run, more assholes trying to squeeze me out of money have to be dealt with

Mr Sindacco walks off, smiling at Billy and tapping him on the shoulder as he passes. The three enter the lift and Luke pushes penthouse.

The lift begins to move and the three stand in the elevator waiting.

Billy: Who was that?

Luke: That was Paulie Sindacco, he owns the hotel and runs it, great guy, just don’t get on the wrong side of him

Ding

Luke: Here we are

The three exit the elevator and walk directly in to the penthouse.

It is a massive, open luxury apartment, complete with stairs going to the upper level and a gym in the corner.

Madden is in the corner sat on a bench. He has a towel behind his neck and is raising his head against it, doing neck exercises. The three approach him.

Craig: Champ!

Madden: Wassup man, this the boy?

Craig: Yeah!

Madden: Wassup man, yeah hey said you was a big boy. He’s about the size of this Wardy dude right?

Luke: How tall are you Billy?

Madden: Billy? What kind of cracker name is that?

Billy: My boys call me Big Devil

Madden: Big Devil huh? That’s more like it, a real street name, where you from homie?

Billy: Ganton

Madden: Ganton Los Santos? One of them Grove Street Niggas? That’s cool man, I’m representing Hepburn heights Liberty City myself.

Billy: Cool man

Madden: Yeah, straight… so how tall are you?

Billy: 6”6.

Luke: Wardy’s 6”7 champ.

Madden: Damn, how much you weigh in at?

Billy: About 250?

Madden: Yeah that’s bout right man.

Luke: So Wardy’s a little bigger than him champ.

Madden: Yeah… don’t matter anyway I’m gonna smoke that English white boy.

Craig, get this boy settled in man and tomorrow we go to work.

Craig: C’mon I’ll show you to your room.

Fade

You are now in your hotel room, it is normal sized and has red icons above the door, bed and wardrobe. A text box appears in the top left corner

.

This is your hotel room, here you can save your game and change your clothes to leave go to the door.

If you save your game time will advance by six hours.

Save the game to Complete the mission

This is looking great, Unvirginiser. Looks like I'll be having some major competition when it comes to active game-scripts. tounge.gif

I really liked the first post and the first few missions. Only thing I thought was odd was the large amount of weapons; I felt that a five-to-six weapons in a category was a tad too much. However, that's just my opinion, and it's a relatively minor thing, so keep it up. icon14.gif

Walk to the door and go through, you are now in the corridor, you can take the lift to the top or down to the ground. Take the lift to the top to see Madden.

Keep Your Gloves Up

Cut Scene

You walk in to the gym and see Madden in his ring punching a fat black man, who is wearing padding and a helmet. Outside of the ring an elderly black man wearing a grey tracksuit watches.

Craig is sat in the corner watching.

Madden punches him on the nose and knocks him flat out.

Elderly Man: Damn right! That’s what I want to see, that’s your fourth today!

Madden: I’m on fire, what I tell you Dwayne?

The elderly man laughs and enters the ring, hugging Madden.

Elderly Man: This fool doesn’t stand a chance.

Craig: Sup Billy

Billy: Sup Mr Craft

Madden raises his glove and waves as Billy enters

Madden: Sup Devil, like you to meet my trainer Dwayne

Dwayne: Nice to meet you son

Billy: Sup Dwayne

Madden: Anymore chumps Dwayne?

Dwayne is helping up the unconscious man

Dwayne: No that’s enough, maybe you should hit the heavy bag

Madden: Nah man, I’m all pumped up, I want to smoke more fools!

Dwayne: Well what do you want me to do? This guy is your fourth today, no matter what money your paying people don’t want to be your punch bag

Madden: Damn! You, Devil, why don’t you come in here and show me what your made off?

Craig: Erm.. C’mon champ, he’s new he doesn’t want to fight you

Madden: What you scared off? Thought you was a Ganton boy?

Billy (Not intimidated): Alright then, I’ll spar with you

Craig: Spar?!? I don’t even want you wearing the padding!

Billy: Man, I’ll be fine

Dwayne: Craig you got a brave boy here

Craig: Yeah and I want to keep him

Madden: Craig let him come in here man, show me he’s a tough guy, that’s part of the job.

Craig: Yeah… and another part of the job is being smart, which is what I am, he wont be smart when he’s a cabbage!

Madden (Laughing): Craig you crazy man, c’mon Devil get in here.

Cut Scene Ends

You are now in the ring with a pair of gloves on. Madden sticks his head forward and taps his chin with his glove.

Madden: I’ll let you have the first shot, don’t break your hand bitch!

A text box appears in the top left of the screen

You have now entered fight mode, press circle to punch, triangle to throw an alternative punch, press them in different sequences to do a combo.

Press Square to do a grapple move.

You approach Madden and combo him, knocking him to the floor.

Dwayne: God Dammit boy! Tyrone, what the f*ck are you gonna do if Wardy hits you like that? sh*t!

While Madden is struggling to get up another text box appears in the top left corner.

To dodge tap the X button as your opponent attacks. Then press either square, triangle or circle to throw a counter attack.

Madden gets up, very angry and throws a flurry of violent punches. You dodge each one and then throw a counter uppercut, knocking Madden down yet again.

Dwayne: sh*t! Tyrone get your fat ass up! Your making me sick!

Madden gets up and starts to attack you again. No matter how hard you try Madden will outbox you and knock you to the floor.

Cut Scene

The screen is black and you can hear voices distantly. The screen slowly fades in and you are looking up at Dwayne and Craig stood over you.

Dwayne: God dammit! You okay son?

They help you to stand up.

Billy: Yeah I’m fine.

Craig: You did good in there boy.

Craig waves his hand in front of you

Craig: How many fingers am I holding up?

Billy: Erm… four?

Dwayne: Good enough… he’s fine. Good punching champ.

Madden (Still in the ring): Devil you the baddest security guy I got! Nobodies ever knocked me down like that before!

Craig: Right champ, we got this press interview later?

Madden: Oh yeah yeah

Craig: Right, well I’m gonna get Devil here strapped up

Madden: Yeah yeah, get him a nice piece.

Cut Scene Ends

You are now outside of Caligula’s with Craig.

Get in the black Vincent with the marker above it.

On the map a gun icon has appeared.

Craig: So there’s a press conference with the champ and Ward, who is erm.. The champ.

Billy: Right, but Madden isn’t the champ yet?

Craig: No… but when he beats this fool he will be

Billy: What are his chances?

Craig: Hard to say, champ’s never fought anybody this good before, this guy is hard as nails.

By the way I was impressed in there son, you take a hit like a champion.

Billy: Thanks man, I’m still waiting for the sound to come back in my left ear.

Craig: All part of the job son.

You arrive at Ammunition and park in the orange marker. The screen fades and you go indoors.

Craig: Here, buy a glock with this.

The money in the top right corner goes up by $400

A text box appears in the top left corner

Approach the counter to purchase a weapon.

You approach the counter and the view changes to face the guns the counter.

Another text box appears.

Press left and right to scroll through the weapons categories.

Go on to pistol selection which takes the camera to look through the counter glass.

Another text box appears

Buy the glock, this is the only weapon available at the moment. Weapons are very expensive, so take care of them and conserve your bullets.

You buy the pistol and automatically go to the gun range behind you.

Targets appear and a series of text boxes appear in the top left corner.

Press L2 to aim, holding it down half way initiates free mode, holding it all the way locks on. Flick the analogue stick in any direction to flick to that body part.

Press R2 to fire and X to reload, try to fire in bursts for more accuracy.

Shoot all the targets and then leave Ammunition.

A Large M has appeared on the map, head for it.

Craig: Be careful using that, only for emergencies.

Billy : Right man, so you expecting trouble at the press interview?

Craig: You can never be too careful, especially with these British gangsters.

You arrive at Caligula’s.

Craig: Come see us in a few hours, get something to eat with this, laters Billy.

Great, easing you into the main bulk of the script, just like the games! If I have one gripe, it's minor punctuation issues such as commas and full stops but they can be easily fixed and they don't really hinder the progress or the quality. Keep it up!

There's nothing wrong with writing a true script, but I feel that these game scripts really are a waste of time. For all of the work and effort you're putting into creating storylines and writing them up, couldn't you also write it in prose and create a gripping piece? I mean, you've got good writing skills - why let them go to waste where all you can incorporate are dictated directions and dialogue?

You see, the stories on here get nowhere near equivalent fan-base of a fan script like Heart City.

I put this down to, them being easier to read and more appealing to people who arnt writer's discussion regulars.

As much as I'd love to write a massive story, the equivalent size to a book, not as many people would read it mate.

I completely agree with what you are saying though

The first rule of writing is to write for yourself - be intrinsically motivated. You shouldn't write for the fame, plaudits or popularity it will bring; you should write for the pleasure you derive from it first and foremost, and for the pleasure others derive from it secondly. If you can't enjoy your own writing, what's the point?

Way I see it, you're kind of selling out. What of the people who want something enjoyable to read, then? You want to appeal to the people who aren't WD regulars - what about the regulars? I think your motivation to create this piece is a little disheartening.

But I enjoy it when everybody else enjoys it.

I'm taking a break from the serious story writing and doing something enjoyable that lots of people will follow and enjoy as much as I like writing it.

Well, not to 'judge a book by its cover', but I haven't read it yet. rolleyes.gif

I generally derive little pleasure from reading game scripts, so at first glance I decided not to. Who knows, though, maybe I'll go ahead and give it a little read, just for you.

After that mission we see a montage of restaurants, text boxes appear as the camera flicks through them.

You can use money to buy food from restaurants scattered throughout San Andreas.

Food replenishes your health

Go back up the elevator to begin the next mission

The Weigh In

Cut Scene

When you enter the penthouse suite everybody is in suit, sat around as if they are waiting for you.

Luke, Craig, Tyrone and other security guards are there.

Three men are stood at the back wearing brown suits, two appear to be the third’s security guards.

Craig: Billy! sh*t! Forgot to sort you out with a suit! You got one?

Billy: Erm.. Nah man

Tyrone: f*ck man, were gonna have to pick one up on the way man

Billy: Where’s it at?

Craig: Were going down to the V-Rock hotel, but were gonna have to stop at Didier Sachs on the way, I think theres one in the Visage, just outside.

Billy: Didier Sachs?

Tyrone: Yeah homie, we gonna get you pimped out.

Luke: Devil, make sure you put this on.

Luke hands you some body armour.

Luke: If everybody starts blasting make sure you get champ to safety alright?

Billy: Course man.

A man in a brown suit at the back speaks, he is white and about twenty five.

Man: Are we ready to go boys?

Craig: Sure thing Mr. Sindacco, by the way Billy this is Jonny Sindacco, you remember meeting his Father Paulie?

Billy: Oh yeah, nice to meet you sir.

Jonny: Same here son, now if all hell breaks out, all of us together should be able to protect champ, while my two boys will keep their eyes on me.

Craig: Right, were going in a limo and a car, Champ, Luke, Billy and our the boys will ride in the limo.

Jonny: Me and my boys will ride in the car.

Craig: Right were making a quick stop at Didier Sachs then were on to V-Rock hotel.

Tyrone: Craig, relax man we will take our time, were important enough for people to wait.

They all head to the door.

End Of Cut Scene

A marker flashes above the black limo ahead of you, everybody gets in to the back while the Sindacco boys get in to the car behind it.

A clothes icon appears on the map, head to it.

Craig: We’ll get you a nice suit sorted, cant have you in there looking like that.

Billy: Thanks man

Madden: Get used to it baby, when I whup this white boy’s ass we gonna party on.

Luke: Billy, this is your first time guarding the champ, if it kicks off, just punch anybody coming near to him. Don’t take out your gun unless somebody starts blasting, remember the press is there.

Billy: No problem man

When you arrive at Didier Sachs park in the orange marker.

Craig: Here we are man, come in quick.

You walk in to Didier Sachs and buy a suit just as you would in the game with text boxes explaining how to purchase clothes.

You are now outside, a waypoint has appeared on the map

Craig: Alright man lets go

You all get back in the car

Tyrone: Looking fly Billy!

Billy: Thanks man, appreciate the suit.

Tyrone: No problem man

Luke: Remember what I said Billy, keep your head here.

Tyrone: Ease up Luke, I think this will be fun, cant wait to smoke those white fools.

Craig: Now c’mon listen champ, these King twins are dangerous.

Billy: King twins?

Craig: Yeah… Damian and Desmond King, there Wardy’s joint managers, two massive gangsters over the water.

Billy: Didn’t they manage the Gurning Chimps?

Craig: Yeah and Love Fist at one point. Pair of brutal mother-f*ckers too, used to chop people up over money and stuff. Started as a couple of bouncers in Salford and just worked their way up I think.

Tyrone: Those mother f*ckers don’t scare me, I’d take them out with one hand behind my-

Craig: Champ, it’s not just that, it’s all the boys they got backing them up. Those British f*ckers are dangerous, they don’t f*ck around over there.

Tyrone: Whatever man.

You arrive a the V-Rock hotel, it is full of fans and press with a stage set up and a long table.

Cut Scene

Tyrone, Craig and Luke sit at the table with microphones in front of each of them, you stand at the back with the other guards. Jonny Sindacco then walks in with his two guards, he sits at the table with Tyrone, Craig and Luke while the guards join you, stood at the back.

On the other end of the table is Nicky Ward, with The King twins on either side of him and numerous guards behind him. The twins look very intimidating, One, Damian, is tall and slim, but still stocky. The other, Dezzie, is smaller and fatter but still quite mean looking.

In the middle is Lazlow, the commentator and officials.

At the font of the crowd is a big group of press and behind that is a huge group of fans.

Lazlow: We are ready to get the official weight in for the Madden VS Ward match which is taking place later this week at Caligulas casino.

First we are going to give each boxer the opportunity to say what he wants to his opponent.

We will start with you Mr. Ward, how confident are you that you can beat Madden?

Ward: I’m 100% confident that I can knock Tyrone out, I’ve been training hard and analyzing hi fighting techniuqes, I can see his flaws and I will be able to knock hi-

Madden: Sit Down and be quiet

Ward: Yo, I’m speaking here

Madden: Sit down and shut up

Ward: Madden doesn’t stand a chance, I’m 100% sure I can knock him out-

Madden: You will break your hand

Lazlow: C’mon now it will be your turn to speak in a minute

Madden: Shut the f*ck up before I rip your long hair out of your skull cracker boy

Lazlow: Cracker? How racist can you be?

Madden: Very! Now shutt he f*ck up-

Craig: I think this is enough

Ward: No this isn’t enough before it’s my turn to speak, you best learn some f*cking manners Madden or I’ll smash some in to your fat head.

Tyrone stands up and walks straight in to one of Ward’s punches.

Billy runs over and punches Ward, but is then punched by Dezzie, Jonny Sindacco pulls out a gun and pistol whips Dezzie, Luke jumpes on Damian and all the guards begin fighting, with Tyrone in the middle punching everybody.

Tyrone picks up lazlow and throws hi in to the crowd.

End Of Cut Scene.

You are now in the middle of the brawl...

Protect Tyrone

...Appears at the bottom of the screen.

Craig: C’mon were getting to the car.

You make your way through the crowd and fight anybody trying to attack the champ. The Sindaccos are fighting the King’s, do not worry about them, just escort Madden to the car.

You make your way through a back door and to the limo parked outside.

A waypoint appears on the map. Drive there.

Luke: Aww sh*t! f*cking British assholes chasing us.

A text box appears

Hold down L1 to aim your gun while driving.

The car follows, firing pistols at you as you make your way back to Caligula’s. Luke and the other guards help you shoot as you drive until everybody in the chasing car is killed.

You make your way back to Caligula’s and park in the marker outside.
