So I went out and bought Need for Speed Pro Street for the PS3 and i beat the game and began playing online and got COD4 and played it, beat the storyline, and played online alot. Then I quit playing COD4 when GTA IV came out and I played through the story line with no problem and beat it around 2-3 days ago. I began crusing around and stuff and noticing my textures were taking a second or two longer to load only in certain places but not very often and then I started playing online and I got on couple of games. Then, last night I tried Race on MP and i did one lap and on the second one it just froze and i was like "huh...thats weird" because itd never froze before then. So I turned it on this morning and played about 10-12 minutes and it just froze so, i was like "sh*t". Turned it off, tried it again, same thing. So I thought it might have just been like a glitch or something so i turned it off and let it sit for about 2-3 hours came back and turned it back on and it went ok for about 7 minutes then it just froze so I turned it off and tried it again and it came up and when it blacked out to go the logo right before the loading screen it just turned black and started making this noise like it was trying to read the disc or something. Wide_Gauge Posted May 30, 2008 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I had it freeze in the middle of a race online but only once so far. If it didnt freeze during single player it might have been that patch. I saw a thread that said it f*cked up the ps3 but I cant find that thread but I found this check it out http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtop...39952&hl=freeze Well the first time it froze up was in Multiplayer and after that if i try to play in single player it will play for about 10-15 minutes and then freeze up like if i try too pause it or just freeze up during game play but if it freezes up when i pause it, the screen will go black and you can hear the PS3 and it shoulds like it cant read the disc or something like that Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trisma Posted June 2, 2008 Share Posted June 2, 2008 Same problem. Ive once fixed this, but it bit me in the arse and went back! im on a 60 gig launch model. In Algonquin textures are very slow and often go into blue hell and freeze. It unfreezes after about 10 seconds tho. I tried almost every way to fix it but i cant seem to. They need a new patch or something cause its unfixable IMO. I tried that 12 step program bullsh*t take 2 sent out. it doesnt fix it tho. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
