bjchop477 Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 At the beginning of Smackdown (a mission for Derrick), you find Derrick on a park bench in Alderney, where Hardtack Avenue and Lee Road intersect. After I talked to Derrick, I turned around to get a cop car, and this kid's stroller was right there. I had heard there was one stroller near the water by the Broker-Dukes Expressway, but not one here. I took pics. Just a simple, "hey, I found a stroller. that's cool since there are no kids in GTA." I see the playgrounds too, but those are far more common. The guy with the Thing Posted May 28, 2008 Share Posted May 28, 2008 The reality is that GTA is in a sterile universe like in Children of Men, and that dogs, cats, rats and bugs have all gone extinct. That's why you don't see any of them. On a more serious note, I like when developers add in explanations about why there are no _____ in their game. Like in Half Life 2 about how the suppression field is up and in BioShock **semi spoiler** about why the game tells you to do missions. It used to be something that was hidden in the game by the developers that people probably wouldn't notice. Now every time a ped says something similar to anything else, or anything remotely close to something else in the world happens in game, some jackass feels the need to come on here and let us know about their discovery.
