Well I have just tried a quick match and joined..... .... a completely empty room... yes not even I am in it apparently... A room without a host. Toff Posted May 28, 2008 Share Posted May 28, 2008 If you click Quick Match and dont set any private slots, the chances are you will join a game thats already got a host. If you set a private slot, you WILL be the host of a new game. The private slot is set out for you to invite someone to the game(if there was 17/18 players, no one else would be able to join unless they were invited for that slot), but of course you can invite people if you dont set out a private slot. Bocabay from this forum has got a lot of problems too. Then again if other games work properly on line it's R* fault that their game doesn't work properly for everybody that bought it. I'm lucky, I have no problems usually, but I get disconnected from time to time and I think everybody lost the connection at least once. From a consumer's (and GTA fan) point of view the lack of technical support and the lack of communication over these problems (after a month!!!) is a big shame on R*. Unacceptable. I have pants older than you kid... your opinion on my apparent maturity is irrelevant, but thanks for the input! I have phoned rockstar 5 times now and each time spoken to some drippy f*ckwit who has no technical knowledge or willingness to assist, at all. Through persistence I have managed to finally get to level 2 in the customer service roundabout, but the fight continues.. I went online last night for a quick TDM initially got booted out saying "could not establish connection", went back and tried again and got the dreaded "could not connect to one or more..." Tried doing a custom match instead of a quick match and managed to get into a room but i was not the host, still managed to play a 20 min TDM ? I know the PS3 servers went down the other day, do you think these recent problems might be due to that or the fact they may be trying to work on the servers to fix problems? I'm having difficulty believing that you're Irish after a statement like that. Most Irish football fans usually tend to support an English division team, and a lot of the time a Scottish team too. It's probably cause our football leagues are pretty sh*t, and the fact that a lot of our best players play in English leagues.
