I got it on release date back in October last year and i'm still playing it every day without fail, which is something that cant be said for alot of games i've owned, both on PS3 and past consoles. GTA4 is fun, the online sucks though and CoD4's online is probably the best constructed online multiplayer money can buy, not to mention a kick ass single player campaign. Single Player: GTA:IV Multiplayer: COD4 Replay Value: COD4 Fun: GTA:IV They're pretty much on par for me at the moment. Everyday at around 20:00, I play GTA:IV, at 21:00 I play COD4. I play CoD4 online because to be good you need a lot of skill, and I take it rather seriously. I play GTA4 online just to have fun and mess around, I never take it seriously. Even though CoD4 singleplayer is shorter, I feel like it gave a lot more WOW moments. The scripted moments in that game were insane. Both game excel at what they were trying to accomplish. The SP in COD4 was awesome but short, whilst GTA IV SP is awesome and a good length, but too easy. The COD4 MP is by far superior to GTA MP, but that could all change if R* get over the phone thing and put a solid lobby system in place. The way gaming is set-up these days with DLC (and patching) everything is in flux. So we can only make a true comparison of the final products about 2 years after the games have been released !!
