Poor mofo, that Lehmann. The guy doesn't even deserve mockery, the poor kid.

Yeah, i'm kinda glad he's left the prem, but in a way, i will miss his blunders and generall idiocy.

He's an arrogant asshole, but it was always entertaining listening to him lol.gif

And he was a great goalkeeper some years ago.

Mind you, he did make some good saves in the final against Spain. icon14.gif

Aye, but he was one good save shy, which means his other saves mean nothing.

Saying that although Lahm cocked up with the run with Torres allowing him to get ahead of him, Lehman's decision making for the goal was bad aswell, he ran out stopped and ran out again thus giving Torres the opportunity to dink it over him.

As a goalie (a bad one, I'll admit, but still), Lehmann's behaviour was terribly wrong. I think he expect Torres to run a bit more instead of sending the ball over him. Which, even if that's true, is rather weird.

Stefan.

I just realised now that I still haven't seen any footage of the final (I woke up on Monday morning, and my dad told me all about it, so I felt like I've watched it). Yet, in all honesty, I have no idea what the goal looked like.

Has anyone got a link to where I can see the goal from the final?

The Red Devils?

Also, saying it was Lahm's fault is like saying it was the whole team's fault. Those Germans are slow by nature, especially those towers they call defense. Watching Spain, Portugal and Turkey tease them by playing their style of football was rather fun. The only german that runs properly was born in Poland.

Yeah...

And it was basically Lahm's fault he was the one running with Torres and he had a extra yard or two against him and with that time he could of kicked it out for a corner, throw in or even a short quick pass to Lehman and for some reason he just let the ball roll and roll (which i have no clue why) and then he let Torres get in front of him when he had no right to.

Silly boy.

Are you still so frustrated?? Stop talking sh*t. Pepe was born in Brazil, Deco is from Brazil, too.

If you can't cope with the situation that we f*cked you in the first half and that we kicked you out of the tournament, then smash your head against the wall or something like that. But, please, switch off your computer.

EDIT: oh, i forgot: Your so called "goalie" Ricardo is pure comedy. So stop talking about Lehmann in that way

EDIT 2: I just have to say it: Podolski was born in Gliwice(Poland, German: Gleiwitz). And Gleiwitz was a German city BEFORE ww2.

Roll on South Africa '10!

Or not.

FIFA are currently thinking about not having it in Africa due to some political sh*t about Zimbabwe. Then there's talks about South Africa not even being ready, so they could still lose the host nation status.

Also Euro 2012 co-hosts Ukraine and Poland are also at risk at losing host status due to infrastructure problems.

Whether anything happens remains to be seen though.

Also don't expect British nation to win the 2010 or 2014 World Cup as South Africa and Brazil will be to hot for them.

I heard about Ukraine and Poland, but the South Africa sh*t is new to me.

That's a shame, we havn't seen a world cup in that continent yet.

But apparently in Poland & Ukraine fail to put it on, the comp could go to Wales + Scotland.

How awesome would that be?

Before the draw Italy were favorites but due to the match fixing, referee scandals and killings they soon lost the opportunity, i've heard Spain would be the new favourites of Ukraine-Poland lost it.

I've not heard anything on Wales-Scotland though.

Good God, kid, don't whip out unexistant double senses into this. I'm not criticising the fact that Germany holds players born in other countries. I'd have to pull down just about every european team along with them, Portugal included as you so cleverly concluded. It wasn't at all derogative, just funny it its own dull way.

EDIT: oh, i forgot: Your so called "goalie" Ricardo is pure comedy. So stop talking about Lehmann in that way

Oh, please, I'm usually the first to knock on Ricardo. I don't quite know what he did to impress Scolari. Quim is much more experienced, more confident (where Ricardo lacks). Yet, even if he didn't injure his hand, he would be benched. (And I even got to say this to his face, met the dude in a restaurant this summer, I just couldn't resist to politely approach him blush.gif) Hell, even Porto's Nuno would be a great job. Rustu was still rocking, why can't the oldies of Portugal's goalkeeping?

If I cared what you think, that is. smile.gif I'd rag on Lehmman in his face, if my english accent doesn't suddenly bend and break if I do meet him.

@ Stefan - That's supposed to be portuguese, isn't it? In spanish, it would be 'los' instead of 'os'?

@ Liam - I've actually thought of that. Most european teams will cave in to the temperatures, maybe except Portugal, Spain, Greece and Italy, perhaps.

@Der_Don: Even though Gliwice was a German city before World War II, it doesn't mean that the residents there are/were ethnically German. Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia used to be part of Austro-Hungary before World War I, which doesn't mean that they are Austrian or Hungarian. Even if it was a German city, his birth name was Ljukasz Podolski. Now, if that isn't Polish, then I'm not Serbian. suicidal.gif

@Canoxa: Yeah, it's Portuguese (funny you should know). biggrin.gif Since Mrs. Torres has put some Spanish in his signature, than I guess I might aswell put some Portuguese, for obvious reasons.

I really should stop acting like I'm gay and in a relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo.

These players, Deco, Podolski etc. who play for countries not of their birth, do they do so because their family are from that county (a la Hargreaves) or simply because they moved there and qualified via residency?

Podolski moved to Germany when he was 4 i think. He grew up in Cologne and Poland didnt even ask him if he wants to play for them.

Well i think the rules are if your Father, Mother, Grandfather or Grandmother were born in a country you are eligible to play for that country also aswell ass your birth country if different from the other relatives.

Hargreaves parents were from England but they migrated to Canada and that's where Hargreaves was born, so he would of been eligible to play for Canada or England.

Also if you stay in a country for like 10 years (i think) without playing for another nation then you would be able to play for that nation in which you've stayed so long in.

Deco and Pepe, for example, are the latter. Bosingwa was born in Africa to portuguese parents, and he eventually returned and naturalized himself, I think.

Stefan.

A player can play for any country as long as he was born there, either of his parents were born there, either of his grandparents were born there, or he has lived there for 5 years consecutively. However, if a player plays for the under-21 team of one country, he can play for the senior team of another. For example, Eduardo da Silva was born in Brazil, however, when he was 16, he moved to Croatia. He made his debut when he was 21, which is five years after he arrived, meaning that he was eligible to play for them. Also, based on that rule, that means I can play for either Australia, Croatia or Serbia if I wanted to. icon14.gif
