WTF nat type 2 still disonect in multiplay

Yea... i dont get it i used *upnp* enabled it and all on my ps3 and router so i got nat type 2 and still getting this *lost connection to one or more player returning to single player* i just dont get it probably because i suck at this anyways please help me thanks.

You are not alone. Lots of us are getting it and its (regardless of what they say) to do with R*'s servers. Complain to them.

me to mate and am absolutely f*cking pissed about it those son of a bitchs made this f*cking game purely for the f*cking money they knew they were going to make off us unlike the rest of the gta games were they actually put some work in and kept us happy.

 

Am so close to giving up and going back to play cod4 and nfs for awhile.

Yea me 2 =/ tho if you host you wown game you wont get disconected

I've only every been disconnected once, and that was when the PS3 was connected to 192.168.1.102 and not 101 for some reason. Had to mess about with all ma settings and sort it out again.

 

There are certain ports which you should open to allow better gameplay. (According to Take2) Not sure if it makes much of a difference for everyone, but I've never had any problems. I only had a couple on the first day, but I put that down to the amount of players coming online.

If you have UPnP enabled or if your Ps3 is in DZM then I don't think they will make a difference.

OK i've had the same problem, and only got it sorted two days ago. I had a NAT type 2 connection with Upnp on, no other game on either the ps3 or pc ever had any problems.

 

Solution? I set up in the router a DMZ server to the ip address of 192.168.0.10 (i had tried a number below ten before to no avail). Went into the ps3, manually set up a connection, ip address of 192.168.0.10 (to use the DMZ), turned UPNP OFF. Nat type again says 2. GTA IV now works! All other games work on the ps3 as they did before.

 

I had tried a DMZ before, but it didn't work. Using .10 and turning upnp off solved the problem.
