It's great how people talk about all the aspects of gta, and it seemed like a big happy community. Now there's these "gta fans" that are bitching about gta4 like little kids looking for stuff to complain about. So here's my rant: The following things are missing from these people's brains: -Low Expectations (not saying gta4 deserves low expectations, just these people expect too much) -Any form of life apart from GTA (if you are gonna look for any little thing to complain about in gta4, then u have no life) -Common Knowledge (you should know that anything in life is made out to be greater than it is. It's all about the money) -Gameplaying Ability (Seems like alot of the complaints came out right away before people were any further than bohan in the game, and alot of the complaints still seem that way. They must just suck at gta4. Epic Fail) -Love For GTA (If you have played every GTA like I have, you should love this one more than any prior for various reasons. I can only imagine someone complaining if the only other GTA they played was SA. Just SA doesn't give you a total feel of how GTA works) In closing, these supposed "fans" are the biggest Letdown in GTA history and are in no way a true loyal fan. Most of the little kids that are upset about the game don't bother to join existing conversations - their sense of self-importance tend to result in them starting millions of identical threads, all outlining their own personal thoughts on why GTA IV sucks (mainly centring around those scruffy, sh*te-looking gloves), in the belief that anyone cares. Most of the arguments if not all is from the San Andreas fans. The VC fans and III fans seem reletivly quiet, so it may be safe to assume that they are happy with IV. IV has made me a fan of the series again and it shocks me that there is such a divide among the GTA community, more so since IV's release. I mean before it was all just silly banter but some of the arguments now do get personal and very heated however at the end of the day it is only a game and we are all still part of the GTA community and should get along regardless of which installment of the franchise people like or dislike, it's a shame that there is a small percentage of fans that embarrass us and let us all down. DanRev Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 I've played GTA since the first one. (still got them all lined up neatly ) I still think GTA IV was a little disappointing. Great game, but I only think it's San Andreas' equal, not better (for different reasons obviously) hopefully the DLC will push it into becoming a far better game in my eyes.
