carlangas Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) Hey Guys, This is a challenge for the expert nerds... I have completed only 42% of the game. I am still dating Kate and dealing with her brothers. I successfully finished the mission called LURE, and there is nowhere to go to continue the story. I look at the map and there is no place or people to go to. I have tried to call all my phonebook contacts but it's not working. I can only hung out with my friends, steal cars and race for Brucie, and hung out with Kate. I finished the phone deliveries for Little Jacob but none of that makes the plot move forward. Geesh, I haven't deal with Dimitri yet. There is a lot of story to go. WHAT IS WRONG??? I chose to kill Playboy X but, I believe that has nothing to do with this. I don't know what to do to continue the story. I NEED SOME HELP OVER HERE. ANY ADVICE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Icarus Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 Sometimes in the game, you will just have to let an in-game day or two pass before you get a call from someone for the storyline to progress. carlangas Posted May 27, 2008 Author Share Posted May 27, 2008 Hey Icarus, Thanks for the advice! I got the call from Mallorie regarding Roman getting in trouble sometime ago. I already rescued him. I'm guessing that's what you are referring to, right? I am worried because the storyline of my game has never been interrupted for so long. I played for about 4 more real hours (a lot of in-game days!!!) trying to find out how to continue the story. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. Any other suggestions? Icarus Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 Yeah, I was looking at a walkthrough (I forget the order of the missions already) and Roman's Sorrow came up after Lure, so I just wanted to check to see if you had done that mission already. Go to your safehouse and just go to sleep over and over (don't have to actually save you can just press B/Circle) Do this like 8-12 times, that will progress the story 2-3 days in-game. Then walk out of your apartment and stand on the sidewalk for a moment, if that still triggers nothing, then try calling all your contacts again, this happened to me quite a few times when I was doing my speed run through the game. SmokingSy Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Hey dude - although it may not be an actual mission thats waiting, have u agreed to go on a date & not turned up?? Are there any heart icons on the map at all?? Otherwise, and i'm not 100% on this so excuse me if i'm wrong, but have u entered any cheats into the game then saved it?? I know that sort of thing will spoil the game somehow but i'm not sure if it spoils it by stopping story missions. Possibility though if u have used any cheats. Robinski Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Exactly the same thing happened to me at around that point in the story mate (a few missions after i think, but we may have just done them in a different order). I reloaded, checked emails, phoned everyone etc and got no result. In addition to this i ahd actually not done any of the Ray Boccino(?) missions and his icon had disappeared from the map. I went and had a look around in the Little Italy district of Algonquin to see if the map icon had just disappeared and I was correct, the little yellow arrow was there with no map icon. I could start the missions and had no trouble from there on. So my advice to you is, if you havent done any of Ray's missions (you get a call from Packie after a few of Packies missions telling you to go see him) go to his restaurant in Little Italy. Or if this isn't the problem just check the mission locations to make sure it isnt just a glitch with the map like i had. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
4turnbull Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 have you saved and stood by the bed for an hour or two ??? thats wot i have to do, go to nearest safe house and save then when you wake up agen usually ull get a text or a call ! thats how i did it, i had problems at the end with that aswell, it comes together eventually, and also ive noticed that the signal bar on the phone actually makes a difference hope i could be of some help laterz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
