I think sr 1 was a good game and i think sr 2 will be to GTA is the game for me but sr 2 is one to buy i have it preordered allready and it's a multi platform game so i just hope the ps3 don't delay the game.

 

At the min the game in't complete but if it all goes well it should be a great game if it has no problems from coming out too early.

Um, actually more accurately, the quote was something to the effect of "Most of the characters from past GTA games are dead anyway." I think it was answering a question of wether characters from past GTAs would make appearances to which to R* employee (no idea who said this) said there wouldn't be any.

I hammered III for months, as I did VC which I still consider the best of the series, I played San Andreas for a few weeks but soon got tired of it once it was completed. I can see me playing IV for a very long time, largely due to it's multiplayer I might add.

How many f*cking idiots STILL hasn't realised, that if R* would have putten planes there, everyone could have done WTC-ATTACKS in the game? And you think assholes like Jack Thompson and his evil midged minions wouldn't have sued R* for that? anybody seen the new video for saints row 2, loadsa vehicles, weapons ect. but the graphics, physics, humour are pretty awful.

Yeah Crackdown had the best replay value and had an amazing fun factor to it. I maxed out all my stats found all agility orbs and hidden orbs, did all the races, beat all the time trials, It was just a downright fun GTA esque game. Realism Isn't exactly what everyone wants, yeah It's good..to an extent. They should have toned down the graphics and added many other features to the game. I loved my GTA but this one just seemed a little plain in terms of gameplay.

Couldn't people just as easily get a helicopter and fly that into say the Empire State Building?

We're not asking for a Boeing 747 commercial airliner, just something simple that will allow us to hop into and just fly like a bi-plane or something.

I'm not one bit disappointed with GTA IV (except I didn't get the soundtrack with the Special Edition which I got on the release date), and I could give less about fingerless gloves. Also, I put "Planes" in big, bold print because people were disappointed about no planes in GTA IV on release while it was announced about a year or months before the release that there would be no planes. If people read about GTA IV like around a year or months ago they should've got over the planes. So I did that because people were pissed about that while they should of known a long time ago already. And I'm not really into the street gang stuff much however the mafias and mobs are totally [email protected]$$. I will pick up SR2 probably a month or two after it comes out. I doubt I'll get it on release.

 

And again if people don't hear me:

 

GTA IV is a totally awesome game, GTA for life, before all the street gangsta SR.

I dont know about you but personally PLANES have alway bugged me in these games take for example SA the plane school suck a$$ i hated it so mutch it took me a week a whole week to pass the school the first time and i was like WTF GTAND THEFT AUTO in a game with this name thers like 4 schools and only the darn plane school is needed for the story line i hated it so mutch i still hate it .

R* please dont include any more planes please . I am shure most of you hated that aswell but because of its not in the game you just keep babbling about it . if the game had gloves planes casinos lola yeti you would have found something else something even dumber to cry about. gta 4 is the best thing that happened to the gaming comunity if you are so ignorant to denie it you shoud GETALIFE .

I don't know why people get so anal over this. I thought car customization suited SA's, and SR1's style, but it would've seemed out of place in GTA IV.

 

Much like most things taken out.

 

Anyway I think SR2 is going to be a great game. I played SR1 at Christmas, and I was surprised with how good it was. Sure GTA has it by the balls in terms of story, but it's one of the better GTA clones.

 

Besides GTA IV took a few ideas from SR1, so it can't be that bad.

Why are people so uptight about planes? They serve absolutely no purpose in GTA IV. Think for a second people. Their only reason for being would be just to fly around the city for 2 minutes and then jump out. It's senseless in GTA IV, so no planes. Please, you whiny whiny people, stop it with the f*cking planes. Please, quit playing GTA. If you don't like it, don't play it. But you all should have known that planes weren't going to be there before you bought it. Stop crying about it.

 

As for car customization, it just would be way too hard to do that. Think of all the different ways your cars get banged up. Imagine having to create all those different versions of smashed up parts of cars. That's a lot of work for nothing.

 

You people cannot be pleased. I've come to realise that. Gamers will never be happy with the finished product. They will ALWAYS cry and moan about it. It is a fact of life.

Anyway I look forward to SR2... I felt like alot of people were hating on SR because they "copied" san andreas and upgraded it. I also heard that they tried too hard to give you the "gangsta" theme. But still GTA was revolutionary, the Chuck Norris of video games, created it's own genre called "Adventurous Free Roam" games... and gta nerds slam every single one of those type of games so we have to wait a year every time we beat a GTA game because developers are scared that their game will get slammed for being a "ripoff"

I wouldn't call the car customizing fun, but that's just me. Well not in this type of game. I love customizing in say Forza or Gran Turismo.

 

Why not add the ability to purchase cars aswell? but then you would get all the sackriders reminding everyone that it's "Grand Theft Auto".

 

If I had a choice between buying cars, and the car customization to be put in as a feature I would choose buying cars 100 times over. It's possible to buy weapons, food, clothes etc why not cars, and bikes?

 

I don't mean ones you see in the street, but super rare, and never spawn anywhere else. You can only see them in the showroom. That's what I would like to see.
