Even though they took some stuff out in GTA that same stuff can be found in another game that comes out in August. Yes I'm talking about Saints Row 2. Even though I honestly support GTA, SR2 will probably capture disappointed GTA fans. Here is some stuff I found about the game that will satisfy the disappointed (They mocked SA a lot too.): -Planes -APCs (not exactly as tough as a tank but still good enough of an armored vehicle) -Jet skis -Monster trucks -Moon buggies -Human shields -Peds. crowd around people that were shot. -Total character customization -Dual wielding weapons -Flamethrowers -Satchel Charges -Mini guns -Chainsaws, Katanas -Limpet mines -Stun guns -Police will use nightsticks and pepper spray at one star. -Bazookas (It's possible it's a RPG not a bazooka, rocket propelled grenades bounce off some stuff while rockets and missiles blow up on contact.) Anyway, I've heard a lot about Saints Row and the game engine looks nice...But isn't it another 'gangsta' game? Damn, can't we have a good game with REAL gangsters? Like..huh.. Italian gangsters? LMAO ^Pretty much. I actually didn't expect much of SA's features to be in GTA IV from the beginning (well, ever since I saw who the character was gonna be (when the first trailer came out)). After watching the first trailer, I knew GTA IV was gonna have a more serious feel to the game and I wasn't expecting it to be anything like GTA SA one bit, I was actually expecting it to be more like GTA III. So I wasn't disappointed. I'm with williamcampbell; I couldn't stand the 'gangsta' junk that is GTASA...I also couldn't stand Toreno. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So because you like Italian gangsters better than hood gangs, they are somehow more 'real'... Whatever, it's just a video game to me. I couldn't care less about my characters motivation for the story-driven missions. I simply want to drive around killing things in my digital sandbox. I do love what SR 2 is doing, but it seems thrown together and fake. When I played Sr I liked it alot but I just couldn't FEEL the game. Lame dialogue, lame, over stylistic. patronizing characters. Basically it felt like they were saying "here you go morons, this will keep the droves of mindless Fast and the furious fans happy" the actual game and some of it's features were quite good, if they ever stopped going for the 'idiot dollar' they might present a real alternative to GTA Until then, nah Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It quickly became one of my all-time favorite games, so naturally I'm anxiously awaiting Saint's Row 2, and I strongly doubt that it will disappoint, unlike IV. I always see stuff posted about how the game is lacking some stuff that it had before it launched, and that the game isn't what the previews said it would be. Well GTA4 has a new game engine running it, and Rockstar hasn't had a long time to work with it and fix any bugs the game had. It's like gta3, when it first came out it was a new engine Rockstar has been working with, but the game wasn't mind blowing. It was a rather simple game. As the gta series on the ps2 went on, you could see that the games obviously got better, because Rockstar was more familiar with the engine(s).Stop posting your bad opinions about the game. When they played GTA4, the game was the most awesome game they've ever played. It's too soon to know how far they are but they loved the game.
