Yuku Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 I'm on the Final Mission and i'm stuck I have got to the part were im in the boat and i have to get uder the helicopter to board it. i can't do it. I keep my finger down on L2, i dont stop or move around. I dont even pay attention to the other helicopter now. Is there another way to make the speed boat go faster?? Basically, all you can really do is just keep the boat going as fast as possible to get to the marker under the helicopter - not much else you can really do. At some point I am almost overtaking Dimitri's Heli; then when LJ shows up both heli's go whippin away and I get like 3 feet away from the heli; my guy stands up and Little Jacob [email protected]$$ flies off without me... I was getting so mad last night I finally said F this and turned the game off. Does anyone have a guide or YouTube video showing how to do this? gold007eye Posted May 30, 2008 Share Posted May 30, 2008 So I retried this last night when I got home and beat it on the 2nd try. 1st try got a little anxious and decided to crash into a building. lol. Here is what I did and I was able to get on the Heli with no problems. When you are driving the boat DON'T hold up or down on the left stick (this will only slow you down). Also hug the coast line and when you get to the part (right before the bridge) where there are a bunch of big rocks kinda in the middle of the water; go in between them instead of around them. Don't take your foot off the gas peddle either. Also remember when making turns use the RB button to make tighter turns. Once in the heli... don't stay low.. you can stay above most of the buildings and just keep dimitri's heli in your sites. When you get to the next part of the mission; try not to shoot anyone and go straight for dimitri. I wound up shooting the cops thinking they were goons; which just made matters worse. lol Hope this helps. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Eichhorn Posted May 30, 2008 Share Posted May 30, 2008 (edited) Taken straight from a thread about the exact same thing: This should help, as I had problems with that myself: Just make sure you stay at top speed once in the boat, ignore the rpg-s and once Jacob appears navigate to the left so you cross his path, also make sure to not use the handbrake, because (I´m not sure on this one) it might cost you precious speed. And don´t pitch up or down(left stick), makes you lose speed too. I found it hard nevertheless, but when you steer to the left, instead of driving in a straight line you should be able to get more speed and make it in time. Watched the Youtubevid, just don´t steer anymore once the chopper appears, try calculating which angle to take and stay straight, otherwise you´ll lose speed while steering.
