floof
Please move this if it is in the wrong section. I have a few peds, I would like to use one of them as a player, does anybody either no how to code this or to use g max and rig it as a player? I would like it if someone could share there knowledge here because I know it has been done. Thank you
ATHMystikal
I dont think u can simply convert a ped model into a player. Reason: As far as i know, each ped is a single model. Because a ped never changes his cloths or other apparels. This is not the case with the player. It can have many hair-cuts, shoes, cloths.. So the player model is made of a number of parts like torso, head, legs.. So each time u change the haircut, a different head model is used. So if u want tm use a ped as player, u have to split it into parts and export them as a no of apparels. and use these togethor. But u cant no longer change cloths., And if u want to change cloths, u have to edit all existing models which is time consuming.
floof
And if u want to change cloths, u have to edit all existing models which is time consuming. I don't understand what you mean by this, I have edited clothing in the player IMG many times an when I do that I don't have to replace EVERYTHING. And I believe it is more complicated than just separating the ped into pieces, I think you would have to rig it into a player form which i do not know how to do. I don' think you have much knowledge at doing this, I asked if anyone who has done something like script the ped to spawn as CJ or use g max to rig it to a player PLEASE tell me! I think u misunderstood me. The height, width of one model wil be bit difrnt from another. So if u replace only the player torso with a custom model, sometimes it may not match with remaining part. Thats why I said 'u have tn replace EVERY MODEL'-I mean one complete set atleast(1 head, 1 torso, 1 legs...) . Sorry if I confused u Tutorial on rigging can be found here: Tutorials>'Simplest rigging tutorial in the universe'
