GTA : Bourne?

Recently the demo for Bourne Conspiracy came out on Live. I must say it is ironic that GTAIV plays more like (and has more of those 'moments') Jason Bourne than the licensed Bourne Game itself!

Having said that, has anyone done the following in GTAIV and been able to record or post it online such as on youtube?:

1. The car chase scene towards the end of Bourne Ultimate (2007 LIVE SPACES) (sorry just had to poke fun at M$FT)

where Bourne hotwires a audi and drove off the rooftop of a parking garage in New York City (we have three story parking garage in LC too! with stunt access no less!) and later almost got arrested by NYPD cops (just like in GTA), he jacks the cop car, turns on the sirens (again like GTAIV) , rear ends into a black SUV and gets badly damages the copcar, drives off and gets T-boned and perched onto the divider of the highway, and slamed onto traffic .. etc.... All something that can be reenacted in GTA4... especially easy to do in online multiplayer mode!

2. The taxi cab underpath tunnel chase scene in Moscow towards the end of Bourne Supremacy? We have similiar taxis in GTA4 and I swear that one place underground in LC looks exactly similar too. Again can be re inacted by two or more players in online multiplayer mode.

3. Has anyone found the building that Bourne jumped off from and into the waters 10 stories below in Ultimate ((2007 LIVE "Cashback" SPACES)) It is located in New York city somewhere.... I wonder if I can get Niko to do the same and survive?

4.

5. Perhaps in GTA5 we the player can go on "cruise". LC already has a large ship that can be entered... We already have sailing implemented in the game on par with Ship Simulator or Virtual Sailor... Why not make it to scale to the large ships and make a Cruise Ship service? SailUS? Then the character can simply go onto a cruise ship, spend days and nights there (he can sleep and that will pass the time faster and also save the game, etc) during his stay his stateroom will be his one and only "safehome/safehouse"... he can have dinner parties and watch comedians, etc just like on a real cruise trip... He can

(LIVING WITH MY PARENTS)

Well I guess you could re-enact a lot of films in all the 3d GTA's.

Vanishing Point in SA anyone? The one from the 70s obviously inlove.gif

Taxi Driver in GTA3? Miami Vice in eh....Vice City?

Perhaps for travel to a distant city (like intercity travel in SA), a cruise would be really good. Maybe even a mission where the main character must seek someone in a crowded cruise ship and must do so before leaving? I could picture this happening in VC, but not SA, if R* plans to progress with the previous three cities of the III series. You could do a lot of stuff with it smile.gif

Well you know what I was thinking... You are absolutely right about "Cruise" ship being a nice little seamless transition from

one "City" to another in future GTA games of future generations (where perhaps we have Multiple cities at one time in one all encompassing game) or EVEN as a addon in the upcoming DLC?! (surely it would not be technically impossible to implement, after all a "cruise ship" is just a static yet densely interactive "island" from the game engines point of view..)

And since cruise ships go so slow (20-30 knots??) it gives PLENTY of time for the game engine to transition from one "city" to another "city" without a real "loading time"...

Cruise ships don't have to be all about "transportation" though... In future GTA games it can be a "destination fun spot" in and of itself... think about it... On large cruise ships we get casinos, swimming pools, internet cafes, luxury dinning areas, the possibilities are endless on a "floating island" haha.. and its something that can be done right now as a DLC... because it wouldn't even be taxing on the game engine... once the ship sails away there is nothing but the ship to render, and endless open ocean.... So I imagine it would actually have HIGHER framerates once it goes out to sea.. And when it is docked (such as during initial boarding etc) to let it be easier on the game's engine certain areas of the ship can be "locked" and not accessible until the ship has sailed far enough away from land....

Plus Cruise ships can have the ability to visit remote "islands"? So perhaps we can have an island maybe say 3X-5X the size of Happiness Island in LC and visit said island and just get off and enjoy the weather and scenery on the island's beach before reboarding the ship and continuing on the cruise? You know like a midpoint tourist spot, and we can purchase souvenirs and stuff...

So both the extra "island(s)" and the cruise ship itself can be bought as packages in the DLC... If we get entire "future cities" as expansion packages, cruise ships would come in handy when traveling from one city to another... And for the 360 at least, the extra cities would be most likely additional DVD-9's that can be hot "swapped" while on a cruise with the cruise ship (or at least your stateroom) entirely in system memory.

The same thing can be applied to airplanes (jumbojets) as well. While I don't think being able to pilot a Boeing 747 is a

good idea in a GTA world, being able to ride one on as a passenger is a must for future games! Imagine a whole new

level of detail and immersion it would add. Other than by ship, by airplane is the only other realistic way of bridging

multiple cities and/or terrortories in future GTA open world games that perhaps can contain many many cities at once!

Imagine taking a taxi from your house "safehouse" to the airport departure terminals and then walking inside the airport

getting your weapons striped out at security and your baggage (perhaps list of interaction things such as books,

cloths, mp3 players, etc) x-rayed and examined... then taking off your shoes belt, etc...

Finally checking in your luggage ($15 for the first one if you are flying "American" )and patiently waiting at the terminal

just to find out that your flight has been delayed and you walk around the airport mall and purchase their expensive

foods and drinks....

Then finally boarding according to the class of ticket you purchased... Punching the guy next to you in the face

to get window seat to watch the plane takeoff.. as the flight climbs above the clouds the game seamlessly

transitions to the other "city" and then you preparing for landing, etc.... Maybe there will be "flight marshals" onbaord

in case you want to case any trouble, and if you even try go near the post-911 bulletproof cockpit doors the secret

undercover marshal will blow your head off (and with your weapons gone you can' t fight back)

So you land at destination airport, show your passport get screened again and then find your luggage.. If you are

lucky your luggage is not lost or delayed and you go merrily on your way... Hail a taxi and

tada you are at a new city!
