TruXter
Below the Callahan bridge behind the diner near china town. there is a basketball court. Next to the basketball court there is a location that amazes me. I remember (back when I first got the game, from a friend of a friend) there was something to do with that location. But since I have actually bought the game again, I don't see What in the blue hell is it there for now? I mean the guy isn't even in the game anymore. Cop cars are different. . I thought there was a mission where you gathered cars there for some guy, and when you got them all, they where there all the time from then on out. I could swear there was an old dude that met you there one time with a voice similar to tony c, but raspier and he just called you (the un-named guy) "Hey Kid". There was also a mission where you drove the icecream truck out to the ship yard, when the workers showed up to buy icecream you get out and run and blow it up. I haven't seen the icecream truck in the past two times I completed the game. Edited May 26, 2008 by TruXter
Killer.Khan
My guess is that R* just added it on for the scenery. Don't bother parking in it.

Killer.Khan
It was never removed buddy. It was added on when the game was released. You may have seen a BETA movie on Youtube of some sort. Seeing as you said the police cars were blue.

Killer.Khan
You couldn't have possibly played the game before it was actually released unless you were a game tester for R* at that time and had special access to all of their equipment and blueprints. Why would you say blue prints? Software is software. That specific era/time everyone pirated everything Djs on the radio would play crappy downloaded music that sounded like it was in a tunnel, because they downloaded it. I mean... EVERYONE pirated. and as I said, I had a friend who had a friend. If it was not for that one burned disk I obtained (and I know I still have it in one of these stacks I may not) I never would have purchased any GTA games, I own them all accept advanced and IV. From what I know, there where only a few of us who got it. Some ran the websites with all the screen shots and a couple admitted they had it, they got busted, so no one talked about it after that. But they Kept talking and doing news updates with "exclusive screenshots" . If the owner of this site hasn't changed hands. He surely knows who I am talking about. RidingHigh
They don't look like parking spots to me at all. With those posts on the sides, they're a little impractical for a parking space. You would have to push the car off to get in. To me, they look like some sort of car lift ramps that are used for getting cars into the back of a truck. You know... you park a car on the ramp, the truck backs up infront, it raises the car up, and you drive it onto the truck. Maybe they were meant to be functional lifts in beta. Or maybe like many GTA mysteries, they're just scenery.

From what I understood, the OP is referring to some mission which was subsequently removed from the final game, much like several other things - the blue cop cars he mentioned, and I assume the "un-named guy" he's referring to is Darkel. Both of these I know of already, but I've never even heard of anything to do with these parking spots.. I thought they were meant to be just interesting scenery. This is interesting.. (and I know I still have it in one of these stacks I may not) Whoah!! Did you just say you might have in your possession a pre release copy of the game? Seriously, if that's true, find that disc. You might be able to answer a lot of questions.

Ok man, give me a few days to figure what I wanna do. I will pm you specifically, with video footage that would prove it's not some photo shop crap or a mod created or downloaded here. oh and , the guys in the tunnel near the train car lot where you get the banshee, something is different there (if I am not mistaken, it's been a few years). There's other stuff.. Remember I had it backed up on an extra disk but we are talking three live in relationships and four apartments. It's somewhere in that. mess. If I have it still. markiij
Lol, I don't believe you. The Ice cream van truck mission is still ingame. It's mission I sream, you cream and here's my video of it: The blue cop cars were removed after 9/11 and you can't have played that game before they removed it. Possibly youve just seen some early beta movies on the internet and remember it as you actually playing the game. You also siad there was an old man there you had to gather cars for. Well, the only removed character (wich was an old man) is Darkel. But... he gave you terrorist missions! You didnt have to bring him cars! You also say he called you "Kid" but there are some more characters that call you "Kid" so you probably just remember it wrong.

I know the Ice Cream van mission is still in game, but it was originally given by Darkel. I still think there's a lot we don't know about the GTA 3 beta. What about Curtley? He's also mentioned in the credits, and we know nothing about him.

Stefan.
They don't really look like parking spots, just an empty lot. Also, from what I've heard, Curtley was a character who worked for the Leones and was meant to be an associate of Darkel. I think he was the one that was meant to introduce you to him or something. His game art remains; he's the guy wearing sunglasses and carrying a gun.

As far as I know it has never been confirmed EDIT: BTW, he's a white guy and his voice actor is black so how can he be Curtley?
