Easy Way To Complete Vigilante Missions On PS2/PC

1. Get a cop uniform from the Washington Beach Police Department.

2. Get a helicopter (I used the one at Tommy's mansion top)

3. Drive to the farthest end of the Fort Baxter Army Base near Escobar Airport.

4. Get in the Hunter

5. Press R3 or if your using the PC press something else

Your in buisness.

It's MUCH MUCH easier to complete vigilante missions with a Hunter helicopter because of it's increased speed, and no worries of crashing into other cars. You also get an infinite number of missiles and machine gun ammo. Now you'll never have to step in another Police related veichle again and your that 1% closer to 100%.

Hope my guide/strategy worked for you guys. Good luck!

*NOTE: You must have completed the story missions or have found the 100 packages or else the Hunter will not spawn.

Hardly new, it's the way people have been doing it for years

It's the easy way for new members who need help or for people who have forgotten.

Of course I knew people have been doing this for years.

Yeah, it's much easier with the Hunter, because I found with using the Police car, you have to be careful not to damage the car too much, and then need a new one, but with the Hunter, it is a lot easier to not damage it.

You practically own the sky with the Hunter man. Plus, you never have to do Law related Vigilante missions again. It's much harder to accomplish with a police car because you have to make sure not to flip it. If you don't want air units on you when you use the Hunter put in the Lower Wanted Level Cheat and gain a fair amount of distance away from the police choppers.

The Hunter only appears at the army base once you complete all story missions and/or collect 100 packages.

Yes, the hunter makes this side mission very easy.

Is this 2002 again?

No need to be so finiky. This guide like bit of information is for new players or vets who are frustrated. This strategy will help a lot of people who can't pass this vigilante mission.

It is quite easy with the Hunter. It's also very easy with the tank, the Rhino. And then you are much closer to them when they explode which I think is even more satisfying biggrin.gif

The one problem with using the Hunter is that if the villains manage to bail out of their car then they're harder to hit as individuals.

I just shower the area that they are in with my heavenly missiles+machine gun until they don't exist anymore wink.gificon14.gif

Missiles aren't as good in my opinion - you can't 'shower' with both the missiles and the chain gun at the same time unfortunately, but the chain gun auto-aims so I find that it's much better at taking out individuals, and generally for aiming in tight spaces (between skyscrapers) going at some speed.

Flesh-n-Bone

if your using cheats, park a police car in your garage, activate the missions, get out of the garage type in "BIGBANG" get in the car again then out and leave the garage till the door closes and repeat the same thing until your finished, lol, that's it if your using cheats.

Yes... point it in the general direction and it will aim at anyone in area as long as you are close enough... if farther away, rockets are easier.

The hunter is difficult to fly at first-- after you figure it out it is ez.

As mentioned above, unless you have the story completed or 100 hidden packages the hunter will not spawn.

For most people playing the game through the first time and want to complete vigilante... IMO the easies way is to steal the Rhino from the mission "sir yes sir" instead of delivering it, drive it to the hyman condo and store it in the big garage there (you will have to reverse the turret and fire to get it there before it blows.... park it in the back of the big garage, exit and move away but keep the door open to the garage.... let it blow up so you fail the mission, leave the garage so the door closes, approach again and the door will open and the Rhino will be healed-- it can now be used for vigilante.

If you want to challenge yourself though... do it in car--

I don't like failing missions, I like to have clean stats cool.gif It's small challenges like this that I set myself in all singleplayer games that make it that little bit more interesting.

So I'd rather use the car.

When I was younger and still playing the game I liked using the sirens, I enjoyed the hard acceleration, the taking a different route and cutting off the bad guys, waiting for them behind the car with the driver's door open and the car stood sideways and then letting 'em have it with the M4 - like it was a real police chase lol

This really was a special game! rahkstar2.gif

Clean stats you say?

Your not cheating if you use the Hunter seeing as it's provided in the game.

The car is WAYY to tedious to use on a regular vigilante mission.

The one on the Hunter does. The mini-gun you carry doesn't.

The chain gun on the Hunter has auto-aim and it tends to target vehicles before individuals not in vehicles. So if your target perps manage to bail out when you start shooting up their vehicle, and if there are a lot of other vehicles around, it can be difficult to get them.

I find the best thing to do is to back off for a short while in the hope that they'll get into another vehicle. That will make them easy meat smile.gif

I think I tried quoting Spuds but obviously it didn't work (was a bit tipsy).

I never said that flying the hunter was cheating, I meant I don't like having stats affected through failing missions (mission attempts > number of missions in the game) which is exactly what my post states...
