Mad Tony Posted May 26, 2008 Share Posted May 26, 2008 I've been through the city and killed 199 of the 200 flying rats, but I can't find the last one. I have the strategy guide, and I've been through and killed every single flying rat in order, with the exception of a few dotted around the city which I came across before I started shooting all of the flying rats. I've been to all of the places where I'm not sure sure as to whether I killed the flying rat or not and I still can't find it. Could it be a glitch? The one outside the spoof of the UN building? Yeah, I got that one. I just had another sweep of the city and went to dozens of pigeon location I wasn't 100% sure about, and I still can't find that last one. The only explanation I can think of is that it's a glitch. I had an old game-save with the bottom half of Alderney still left to do. I loaded it up, shot a pigeon down there and the numbers still didn't add up. (I have the guide remember). Looking through my strategy guide, I can only find a handful of pigeons I can't remember shooting, and I've already been to all of those. Perhaps I shot one previously in the story and loaded up the game-save again for whatever reason. But even then, I've been to all of the pigeon sites that I did before I started hunting all the pigeons. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So I went thru again and checked them one by one. Still no luck finding that last one. It must be very well hidden and I just assumed that I already got it since it wasnt there when I checked. I still never got all 200 and only shot 3 at most before i went looking I've started going to every location again and covered about 130 without any luck. I still reckon I'll end up 199 again tho! It is NOT fun to run around for hours and kill pigeons. And it is also IMPOSSIBLE unless you use some kind of maps. Also, the helicopter you get is probably impossible to use as a weapon and control. I thought it was pretty disappointing how the "marked locations" feature from VCS didn't make it into GTA IV (something that I found a real step backwards). Basically, the map would mark the locations of found balloons, jumps and everything like that. GTA IV really could have benefited from something like that. snappyfingers Posted February 21, 2009 Share Posted February 21, 2009 I think everbody feels the pain of the pigeons...I also have only one left to go, that little SOB. it makes be want to cry like a little girl. Furthermore, i was very methodical in checking them off and saving my game. I know Im going to have to go over everyone agian, however one that eluded me a bit was one which was in the skate park underneath a bridge.
