Deuce Deuce
I'll have a look around. Will let you know what I decide to do. Thanks for everyone's input, by the way.
Dvs98
http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/memory_detail.asp?id=193 I like this brand personally. Been using Mushkin ram for a long time. DDR2 though.
Deuce Deuce
So I got another 1GB. It's helped with loading times and exiting games, as well as a better performance in RAM intensive games like Oblivion. For example, it doesn't stutter [as much] when loading areas. AMD 64 San Diego 3700+ 2.21GHz (OC'd to 2.25GHz) 2GB DDR RAM Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 ATI Radeon X1800 XT .. What would be my next step to upgrading, eventually? I was thinking the CPU - but then, is there anything half-decent I can get that's compatible with the motherboard (socket 939)? Maybe the video card? anus
Well, 939 really is dead. There are faster processors available for 939, but it ain't worth paying for a small performance increase. I say start saving up for a total upgrade as your PC is pretty outdated. If you must upgrade, go with CPU first and then video card.
