Creed Bratton
The Punisher for PS2. It came out some time after the movie and it received bad reviews, but only from official reviewers. In fact that is one of the best 3rd person action games I have ever played. And I still play it sometimes. The action is great, voice acting is great, gameplay is simple and also great and the orchestra music fits the game perfectly. There is a lot of cool weapons and upgrades. You can torture people and kill them in unique ways. You can grab someone and trow them of a balcony into fire. There are also special kill areas and special interrogation areas. You can also grab enemies as human shields and trow them through the door so they get shot instead of you. And for some reason killing people in Punisher never gets old. You also receive points for killing. And you can multiply those points by killing more enemies in a row without getting hit. The replay value is great. I found myself replaying some levels over and over again just for more points and medals. And you also have challenge mod and some other stuff. 3niX
Well... I feel that Brothers in Arms didnt get the attention it should have had. It was rated high but eventually lacked the fanbase. Try finding an online match then youll know what I mean.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Anyone remember Oni? sh*tty graphics, but still an awesome game. I do, it was one of the first games I played on my PS2, rented it at Blockbuster. I just remember guns 'a blazing and me trying to reenact the final shootout from The Matrix. It was a Rockstar game? Really?

I was a bit sadistic back then and just shot the limbs off dead (and alive) bodys with the shotgun. Sweet. It even had Iron Man on it. Bonus. freak2121
The Neverhood, the developers(Dreamworks) have to get a medal for making the game entirely out of clay and stressful animations(move the piece a little bit, capture frame and then repeat) http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=EfVQ7Tm-JMo&feature=related

K3VIN
Killzone was good but I think Area 51 was better. And plus the main characters voice was done by David Duchovny, which is perefect because he was Mulder in the X-Files. I can't wait for the new X-Files movie. master ED
I don't think Killzone gets any appreciation outside of its fanboys, its the PS's Halo. IMO, Killzone sucks! I wouldn't even dare to compare it with Halo. I just finished Black when I borrowed Killzone from a friend...it took me exactly an hour to return the game. Couldn't stand the graphics and the controls in comparison to Black. Killzone just leaves an unfinished impression, one of those games that is hyped for no particular reason, while games like Black seem to fall under the radar... Gouveia
most underrated game on gaming history: Kane&Lynch. Oh yeah, the game rocks. I remember the points they gave on gamespot: -Too much swearing (I don't give a f*ck if people say f*ck too much, f*ck it) -Cover that doesn't work (I can get behind cover everytime I want to) -Bad Storyline (LIES) -Unninteresting characters (Why? I loved them) Also, Driver:Parallel Lines. It's score floated about 5 and 6, but the game deserved an 8. It was awesome, with good graphics, plenty of space to drive, awesome storyline and soundtrack. Also, the twist that makes you go from 1976 to 2006 made me sh*t my pants. I loved that game. @MasterED: ANYTHING LOOKS sh*tTY WHEN COMPARED TO BLACK
Hodgey.
Tony Hawks American Wasteland, i thought it was a great game ith a good storyline. I thought they improved that alot from the crap they put out the year before with THUG2.
Molotiv
I'm just gonna go ahead and mention Unreal II: the awakening here, because that is officially the most under-rated game ever. It was an awesome game, it was an epic game, it was the most fun I've ever had in any FPS. Ever. The weapons were amazing, it was the game that defined having secondary firing modes for guns. Sounds like you haven't ever played the original Unreal. Am I correct? I've completed it on several occasions, and were thoroughly disappointed by Unreal II - I couldn't even bother finishing it. The whole atmosphere in Unreal was, and still is to this day, one of the best I've ever experienced in an FPS, maybe with Prey as the only exception - that was great, too. I agree. It started promising, but soon failed horrible... Some weapons were good, I must agree. But the first unreal was much more creepier, thus better. rhyn
Nintendo 64 : Monster League Football. So much of my childhood was spent playing that gem of a game. 007 RoadRunner
Mafia without a doubt. A great game that didn't get the attention it deserved because of GTA III which was released before it and not a big marketing budget to spend.
Daz
The only one that springs to mind, from recent games is Call of Juarez (X360) It sucked on pc but it was alot nicer on consoles, gorgeous enviroments and music. I loved playing it, and everyone I know who knows of the game hates it, and I have no clue why. Maybe I am the only one that actually loves that untouched 1800's american countryside... with guns. It wasnt better than red dead revolver, but its definately the 2nd best western shooter. The legend of zelda: the wind waker, was another, though a deserved 9.0+ on gamespot, everyone else I have spoken to didnt like the game. I thought it was easily the best zelda ever made, if not, one of the best experiences you can ever get from a game. There are alot of other games I feel are underrated, but most mentioned in this topic are well known. I was trying to share one that would easily be overlooked. Many games that were close to the best game ever made, where people have not liked them, but I also know alot of people also liked them.

Bauer
Call of Duty: United Offensive. It is an PC expansion pack to the original Call of Duty, and I think it is the best overall Call of Duty multi-player experience. This is because of the very large maps, great implementation of vehicles (tanks, heavy tanks, and jeeps), and the Base Assault gametype that I think is one of the greatest gametypes in multi-player gaming. Just last night I played several matches of United Offensive online (playing Base Assault on Foy, whoo) and had an amazing experience. The sheer scale, mechanics, and visuals just make it so damn much fun to play. The reason why I think this game is under-rated is because every Call of Duty after it had an inferior multi-player experience in terms of scale (Call of Duty 3 being sorta, but not really like United Offensive's multi-player). Although I realize it is because developers share the Call of Duty franchise, I find it a bit annoying that so many people think that Call of Duty 4's multiplayer is so awesome, even though I think that United Offensive's multi-player experience is better overall. master ED
The legend of zelda: the wind waker, was another, though a deserved 9.0+ on gamespot, everyone else I have spoken to didnt like the game. Me neither...I loved Zelda: the Ocarina of time (and imagine my surprise there...I hated the NES versions that I played as a kid - I mean I really really HATED them! But the golden game cartridge just grabbed my attention...stupid kid! ) Zelda 64 rocked big time! It's one of the most balanced games that I ever played, mastered to perfection, more proof to the overall fact that Shigeru is one of the godfathers of gaming (yes, I did change my mind over the course of the past 20 years...that was right after my golden NES cartridge went up in flames ). And then I bought windwaker, the special edition (with the GC remake of the Ocarina of time), skipping majora's mask along the way since I sold my N64 in the meantime... My first thought was "WTF?", it quickly changed to "Hell no!", and finally "Oh, this isn't fun at all!" Needless to mention that I had some great revisiting Hyrule with the GC remake though. I wish I'd played the Twillight princess but the Nintendo guys were late again...just sold my GC a few months prior to the release and I have no intention in buying a Wii console. Still, it just like with the MGS series - whether you like the concept or not - you have to accept the fact that they belong in the HOF of videogaming! Except for that sh*tty gold cartridge...I still hate every bit of that game!

The only part I had trouble with was near the end where there were 5 of them HUGE monsters in that square, they were hard as hell to kill.

Creed Bratton
"Shinobido: Way of the ninja" for PS2. It wasn't even released in America which is a shame really that Americans couldn't play it. Anyway, it is the best ninja game ever. You could play it really, really stealthy, or as an action game and you have all those ninja weapons and gadgets that are so cool and fun to use. You also had some smoke, sleep, amnesia, knockout etc. spheres that you could use and a lot of plants and ingredients you could collect to make stronger spheres and potions for either improving your stats or using against the enemies. Bates_GTA
I'm not really sure, all the games i focus on are the classics, theres on game on the PC that never got that much credit, but it wasnt everybody's game and that was Commando's quality game, strategic but there was never a crazy lot behind the stories. Trying to think of some other but nothing really springs to mind, i just remember a few game i used to play on the PS1, like Abes oddesey & MDK. sh*ttt! they take you back.
