Q&A
I'm currently in the US on vacation, I leave soon so I have the option of bringing GTA4 home with me. What I am curious about is the games PS3 region lock and possible content changes. I know there are a lot of region free PS3 games, but all I get when it comes to GTA4 is that "it should be region free" so I need to know if it does or does not have the same region lock as the US 360 version. Another thing I want to know is any changes made. I know the Aussie version was cut down to be suitable with 15+ as opposed to the normal 17+ US version and 18+ UK version but people seem to talk more about importing the UK version (perhaps due to the UK/Aussie compatibility being the same) as opposed to the US version. So does the US version play on a UK PS3 and does it have any edits compared to the UK version
FourForty
Blu-Ray Games/PS3 Games Are Not Region Locked. So it should work. A lot of people have been importing versions into Australia, so if those work, than they all should work everywhere. Might have a problem with your TV's computability though. TV compatibility shouldn't be an issue, as I shall be playing it on an NTSC compatible television and have had no problems with US PS2 games or demos gotten from the US PSN store. \ I am not surprised at all that people in Australia have been importing, shame they get screwed but at least it lets me know there isn't any coding.
