Comet or the NRG?

Not sure if this has been posted yet but just telling you...

 

I cant remeber exactlly but heard alot of people saying that the Comet was the fastest car in the game, but, with testing at the airport with a friend, i found out something...

 

The Comet, when first tested, WAS faster than the NRG, but... i had an idea

 

We did the race again, me on the NRG and friend in the comet. Once i got to top speed on my NRG, i started to lean forwards and...WOOSH! went flying past the comet and won easily!

 

so whats faster than an NRG?

Infernus is the fastest car in-game. Me and my mates were in Infernus, comet, super gt and a turismo and the infernus won. race the NRG against the infernus

The Comet and Turismo have same max spped but less acceration. Comet has more than Turismo.

I can confirm this more or less. It fits with what I've seen in the game.

What does having 6 gears mean?

 

 

The SuperGT is slower than the the fast 5 and it doesn't have higher acceration than the Comet either....

 

What advantages does having 6 gears and being 4 wheel drive have?

I think those values may be without any "modification". Leaning forwards on your bike will make it accelerate faster and get a faster topspeed than if you just sit there. I regularly do this in races and always shoot past anything else in the game.

 

Actually somewhat surprised other people don't do the same in MP races.

That is true and when you do a wheelie you gain an acceration boost it seems...

I find the Comet a pretty good car. I still have mine from Brucie's mission. But, with bikes, if you're at a certain gear, you can tap the forward button on the left analog for PS3, and it'll get you going really fast. I haven't really tested the speed of the cars...Comet probably is my favorite. The bikes are much more difficult to handle compared to the older games.

Uh you do realize a 2008 Corvette ZR-1 will smoke any Lamborghini there is right?? Zr-1 has 650+ hp. 0-60 in 3.3 baby. Last time I checked the fastest Lambo was the LP640. 0-60 in about 3.5.

i checked it out, and the NRG is faster than the Infernus

 

took AGES for my mate to find one, then he fliped it, TWICE!

 

But yep, the NRG is that fastest land vehicle in the game, confirmed

There are too many variables.

BTW. Some would argue a motorcycle will smoke both.

 

In the end, the Pilot is what matters most.

 

Not much truth about the in game motorcycles/cars and their real life counterparts.

 

And people that make claims about the "realistic" driving should be re-tested in real life.

 

Do you actually think a Suzuki 600cc for example is a 600cc?. MPG for a vehicle is the same difference.

 

The people here more than anyone shouldn't believe everything they read or are told. Just look at gta iv and all the promises they made.

I know. I just hate it when people assume American cars are garbage and that all foreign cars are better and faster. Plus it comes down to price I could buy 5 corvettes for the price of one lambo. Ok enough off-topic. In GtA however I do think the Infernus is the fastest.

because it doesn't show the NRG's new top speed if you lean forwards, so even though it says the the NRG isn't the fastest, it is, so it's wrong

1. NRG 900

2. Infernus

3. Coquette

4. Banshee

5. Comet

6. Sultan RS

7. Turismo

8. Super GT

 

however, acceleration is slightly different and also braking/handling. for example i'm pretty sure turismo is a lot easier to handle corners at high speeds.

The Banshee, Infernus and Coquette have exactly the same speed. So saying the Infrnusis faster than the Banshee is wrong.

 

The Turismo and Comet have the same max speed as the 3 above but slower acceration.

 

The NRG is the fastest due to wheelies and leaning, but has without it has the same speed as Sultan RS and the same acceration as the Infernus, Banshee and Coquette.

 

Also the Sultan RS has a max speed of 300 km/h.

 

The SuperGT has higher top speed than the Sultan RS as well, but less than the top 5 fastest cars....

 

 

The Sultan RS however does have the best acceration perhpas except for the NRG 900 of course....

Seriously though the Sultan RS has the same top speed as the police cruiser....

I don't know about the fastest but NRG-900 is really fast when you lean forward. I got it going so fast the screen first blurred like normal then to the extreme that I had seen so far. Then it surpassed that and I had a super blur going. I think the console was having a hard time rendering other vehicles on the road because they disappeared. The building started popping in really late like when I was 10 -20 feet away from them then I slowed down because a freeze seemed like it was coming any second. The console was on for a while maybe it was just hot I'm not sure.
