Jesus'En'Hitler420
I see the Chinese government as even more power hungry than Hitler and Stalin might have been. I look at the Tiannamen square massacre and see a government that will not allow anyone to speak up and will kill without regard to secure their power. I see a government that is using America's companies against them. Wal Mart and other companies go over there recieving open arms from the Chinese and the populace is happy and beginning to become rich with a new growing middle class, but it is just the art of war to the government. I see a populace that is hungry for even more freedom, but they are shutting up because it looks to them like the Chinese are letting up their control due to their new found business deals, and the spoils the populace gets with higher wages, new home technologies, and entertainment. However, they are still bitter about the slaughter that took place on their own soil at the hands of their rulers. As for the army, I honestly don't believe that many would stand up and fight for China if war came. It would be much like the Iraqi army and how so many just threw down their guns and surrendered under Saddam's rule. Sure there would be some big fights, afterall, it is a huge army and there probalbly are some that are stupid enough to fight, but I know I wouldn't fight for the Chinese Army, unless they shot me upon retreat with their machine guns, like the Soviets did to their soldiers. If I am wrong, let me know, but this is what I have been getting. The people of China are nowhere near as barbaric as their leaders are, and that seems to be the way it is across the globe, even in the USA. Prince Drac
,May 26 2008, 11:48] You don't find sureal odditys like that in another countries, which is why I single out Chinese people. And if your calling BBC News liars then your out of your head. How can the article be untrue if there was video footage of the interview with the cooks and guests. The Chinese people like to eat Tigers, end of. It doesn't matter if Vietnamese eat "only a certain type of dog". At the end of the day it's a dog. So yes, they do eat dogs. As for your Snake statements, here are some handy search results for you to do your research with, pillock: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&clien...t+snake&spell=1 At the snake stuff: this is what I've seen in your search results. A result saying snake head meaning someone who illegally brings illiegal immigrants into the country. I see snake soup, which is what I was talking about earlier with the wine. I see a site talking about the benefits of snake meat, but is not a reputable source. I see a trip to a snake resturant, which isn't Chinese but is Vietnamese (last name Luong is Vietnamese), and I see a forum about snake eating, but is just a forum with no factual proof. So much for your Chinese snake eating search results. Certain places in the world however, do eat the snake meat. But I see no problem with it. It has healthy benefits. You don't find people eating food like that in other places? Dude go look up Thailand delicacies. Cambodian delicacies. Alot of south east asian countries eat things that are even stranger to you. In the philipines, they eat chicken eggs with an unborn chick inside it. Many neighboring Arab nations also eat strange food. I don't know if you're singling out Chinese people because of your ignorance about Asian cultures or some other reason. You want something that will really disgust you? In certain places of Asia, they eat fetuses. And guess what else, the people who funded it and wanted them to make more of it so they can eat it were European businessmen. I would provide you with the source, but the article is in Vietnamese. I never denied that they don't eat tiger. Where in any of my post did I deny it? Just because you hear something in the news doesn't make it 100% true, especially when people don't understand anything about the culture. How are you going to compare someone who did some crappy ass reserach to someone who grew up with the strict traditional culture for 21 years of his life, plus studied Asian culture. Just by reading the article, I see they are purposely making it look like a large population of people order these dishes. So yes, I am discrediting their reserach, but I never denied that they eat Tigers, but it is still an extremely small population that eat tigers. This is the last post I'm going to make in here before it turns out to be a racial thing. If you really want to point something out to me, you can do it via PM. nlitement
A cute little country. Not doing too well on the countryside, doing alright in the cities. Impressive skylines, Hong Kong is what I wish that all of China could eventually be like. A lot of political problems and an identity crisis, and problems in general, with a big country and all. Btw. we know you're a spy. Edited May 26, 2008 by nlitement

Protonkid
A heroical country, because they still hold the olympics even with those disasters going on. They have one of the biggest gold storages in the world. They are communists, but their system is far more advanced than USSR's and North Korean's. They have a big population rate. That country deserves a cookie. Just to clarify, I am not chinese, I am a south korean living in Russia

Dark_AXL
' date='May 26 2008, 15:50'] And yes they do eat cats, dogs and snakes, I have seen it many times on TV shows and Chinese people also eat Tigers too. One crazy chinese guy had a home/zoo open for Tigers. They got them from the wild and then starting cutting them up and serving them at the zoo cafe. They said that the cafe was really popular then - that's also from BBC news. The Chinese are not so crazy..

Iminicus
Did you hear, the Beijing Olympics might be canceled. China is having a hard time digging up a team. Oooh, poor taste joke. I don't mind China. I studied it's wonderous history when I was at school in England. I also, believe that Gavin Mendes is correct in his book [1408: The Year China Discovered the World. I find many things about China fascinating. I do, however, object to the ruthless destruction of Mt Everest by the Chinese Government. I also, object to the occupation of Tibet and the force they are using there.

Yeah, India has just over a billion and China has well over a billion. The world has somewhere between 6-7 billion people. Of course, not everyone from India and China would want/be able to fight, if it came to a war of course.

Jay
@Jayz: I don't think any Chinese restaurant in Mumbai is actually owned by a Chinese. It's just the recipes that the chefs over here have learnt and are serving. But, nonetheless, whatever it is, I like it. Coincidentally, nearly every single Indian cuisine place I have been to, I have had my meal made by and served by someone of Indian descent. One maître d' had a turban. Crazy authentic.
