Parking cars

Hi all,

 

I nicked a 1960's looking car, got it resprayed, and parked it outside the first safehouse.

 

I then did the laundromat mission and failed it. I tried the replay and the car (which I had parked outside) was gone, even though I started outside of the safehouse. Is this a glitch? Because the car wasn't outside the laundromat either.

 

I didn't get to read the text that came up when explaining how to park cars. If I steal a car and park it in the yellow box, it is kept for me everytime I return it to the safehouse? How many cars can you have kept for you?

i had a comet that bruice gave me i parked it in the yellow box outside my safehouse did 5 missions than one day i came back and it was gone ...but i think one time i lead the cops to my safehouse and their cop car must of ramm my comet out of the yellow box...i loved that car... after that i killed 13 cops

My cars seem to vanish alot.

 

Had a Limo nicely parked up.

Next day, gone.

Don't know if it applies to your situation, but I've noticed that the auto save feature has kinda screwed me up at times. I don't always play online and for some reason sometimes it loads up the auto save even though my last save was a manual save, etc... So maybe I'll beat a mission and it auto-saves, then I park my car, save it, and then turn off the game. Turn the game back on, and no car.

Reasons why your car is missing (in order of likeliness):

 

1. Cab or Pedestrian rammed it out of the box.

2. Police Officer used to it chase you after you committed a crime.

3. Glitch.

I make sure I do a manual save after I park a car, or go on an activity that is safe which will do an autosave at the end. I lost a resprayed Sabre GT when I did a reload (my fault).

 

I had a strange one at the Alderney Safehouse. I had a red Sultan RS parked there (saved) and arrived in a silver one which I left outside the space. I went in to do a save so that I could come and use the silver one. When I came out, the silver one was in the space and the red one had gone... I reloaded from the last safe save to get the red one back.

i've almost never had one of my cars vanished.

 

i just dont park more than 2 in there.

always turn the vehicle off. ( if i let it running it did vanish somethimes )

park them in the with al wheels in the box.

 

when i do the above, i never lose a car

i noticed one time i drove by my safehouse while cops were chasing me, then a good distance awayy i crashed into a tree and noticed a cop chasing me in what LOOKED like my infernus i had parked in front of the safehouse. I drove back and YUP, the bastard took my car.

 

I think this is how i've been loosing some of my cars as of late...

Well, since you can steal other peoples car, maybe they can steal yours too.

I've lost so many cars as well, and I park it perfectly, wheels aligned to the sidewalk, perfect spacing between the cars and turning off the engines. Guess Niko isn't the only one that can smash windows and hotwire.

I hear ya. I just lost the comet Brucie gave me earlier. I had it for weeks and won all races first time using only that specific car. I was driving round to my safehouse in Bohan to save, and as I got round the bend, some cu*t smashed into my comet, knocking in sideways. That pissed me off, so I chased him round the next corner, and shot him repeatedly through his car window. When I returned the comet was gone and I hadn't saved in hours and had done a lot. So I just took the loss. Was quite attached to it.

 

At least I still have the huntley used in the escape in three leaf clover

I was showing my mate my FUTO GT today and my save was at the wrong safe house, so i hailed a taxi and skipped it to the right safe house as we pull up i notice my yellow parking square is empty im like WTF and then the taxi pulls in and lets me out i step back and BLAM my cars spawn (FUTO GT and SULTAN RS) knocking the taxi on its side! i walk round the side of my cars to show my mate my GT and the taxi driver clabers out of his tipped taxi walks round to my GT opens the door and drives away!!! i had to chase him down in the Sultan and riddle my GT till he bailed out on fire my GT was on fire too so i called the fire service but it blew up before they arrived and then i got a star!!! Dumb taxi driver!!!!

i have these cars at all different houses.

 

1.phantom (big rig) and turismo (ferrari)

2. Romero (hearse) and FIB Buffalo (cop charger)

3. Police Patriot (cop hummer) and commet) porche

 

and i'm not sure the other one but i have never had a problem with any of them dissapearing or anything

One time I was walking out of my Bohan safehouse and a cop arrested a guy and drove off in my FIB Buffalo, I was so pissed off I shot a rocket off and blew the thing to hell.

I done lost about 4 cars in bohan I think the bad traffic there always knocks em outta the spot

i don't know if you do it, but try turning off the car when you get out. triangle for PS3 and what ever it is for the 360. you hold the button and Niko will turn the car off. When i started doing it, they stop disappearing...except when the crazy taxi driver crashes into it.
