DemonKing Posted May 26, 2008 Share Posted May 26, 2008 Yeah so second PS3 console I got. First one decided one day to not bother to read game disks. Couldn't be repaired so I got a new one. Lasted about the same amount of time. I was playing IV the other night and it kept freezing, I tried many other games, they froze as well. So I decided, to wipe my hard drive of all data via the system restore. Chucked IV in to Install it in, Wouldn't install. Then I reset took IV out and put back in, wouldn't read, Put the Darkness in wouldn't read it either. I think the lens is pretty well and truly stuffed, Does anyone know anyway to repair this sh*t, I have it under warranty but last time they took like over 10 weeks to tell me they couldn't repair it. Na got it for my Birthday in December last year, It's a 40Gig model, Laster until like early Feb, Got it back maybe about 6 weeks later I think I went over board with the 10 weeks. Still a long time. I sent it up to sony now anyway, They said they've got priority on it as its my second one, Said about a week and half ETA to get back to me, I wouldn't cross my fingers though. (Del) Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Similar thing happened to me. I got my PS3, 32 days into the PS3 experience the laser stops reading discs.. Walmart wont return it as its 2 day over their 30 day policy.. so I sent it off to Sony. They recieved it on the 28th an now it's Waiting for test..
