The game has been out for almost a month, so most people should have completed the story by now if you got it within its first week. I completed the story a while ago, all side missions, got most of the stunt jumps, only got a few pigeons (boring, cant do it) anyway, I'm bored but I still really like this game, so i drive around, explore, kills some ppl, get chased by cops.....but nothing crazy exciting you know...turn it on for 20 mins, turn it off.... is the longevity there for you? if so, what are u doing to keep you going......not including multiplayer. other GTA's I could mess around forever....having a hard time with this one... Yeah, I bet the game about 2 weeks ago, got it on the day of release. The longetivity is there for me. I just barely got started hunting down the pigeons, and doing the stunt jumps. I could've sworn I went to EVERY location. I kept track by number of each pigeon so I don't know wtf happened. Now I'm just pissed off and haven't played in a few days since I don't really know what else there is to do since I don't care about stunt jumps... I watched some You Tube videos and had the map so I marked off each location as I went. But I already killed a couple birds before so some weren't there and that threw me off I guess. I probably used a shotgun on one of them and quickly turned before confirming a kill or something stupid. I tried looking at the screen caps to see if anything looked unfamiliar and probably went back to 1-2 dozen locations before deciding the only way I was going to get it was by going back through the whole thing. Im doing that cos [spoiler/]I killed dwayne what a mistake but im not doing the end bit of what you said im doing loads of jumps on bikes (not stunt jumps) but in skate parks ive found 2 so far and thats keeping me busy. learn2forget Posted May 26, 2008 Share Posted May 26, 2008 after getting 100% i haven't played single player for more than 5 minutes, and when i do it usually consists of shooting someone, staying there till cops kill me, spawning at the hospital, then killing myself a dozen times in a row with grenades and rockets just to watch niko fly through the air on fire. i find no pleasure in good old pony farming in this game. that being said i love multiplayer and will surely enjoy replaying the story when i get around to it. the actual missions were designed very well. it's just not the same though... the varied landscape, unrealistic vehicles (jet pack/hovercraft/go kart/dune buggy/quad) and extra weapons/gadgets (flamethrower/chainsaw/goggles etc.) in san andreas made it fun to play for many hours after the story mode was done. maybe that's not what gta is about, but i enjoyed it. By then, I was completely over the game. I have no desire to finish it, or to free_roam or try to get 100%. The game is just tedious, and agonizingly boring. There's no replay value to the game for me at all. I'm no longer even interested in the DLC. Overall, a complete waste of the money spent. Keep in mind, I got 100% multiple times on each of the previous games, excluding 1 and 2. Hell I was even still playing San Andreas in the weeks leading up to IV's release, after how many years now? I won't be using multiplayer until I get a wirless connection, but there is no longevity there for me, its weird its just something about the game for me. On every game Im a guy who just does the main missions and a few odd jobs, but never ever aim for 100% completion 'cuz Ive never seen the fun in that. GTA III I did a few times, same with VC. Now SA is a game that I could play on forever. I don't know what it is that is so amazing about SA but it just has that magic to it. I got it on the day it came (early November 2004) and countless times I have gone through the game and NEVER got bored, the last time I played it through had to be about 3 weeks before I got GTA IV. LCS I may have done 2-3 times through and did VCS quite a few times actually. I got IV two days after it came out. Completed the main missions and have only done LJs package jobs and the vigilante missions and already Im bored to sh*t. Still wondering if Ill go through the game for a second time Sorry but theres something about the game which is missing. I had one last drive around the whole state on SA because I was convinced it would probably be the last time I would go on it, but I feel as though I will probably feel the need to go on it again someday Well maybe when I get multiplayer and decide to go throught the game again then it'll change, but can't tell yet...
