jeff_a_cake
EVERYONE PLEASE E-MAIL [email protected] TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE POOR CONNECTION SERVICE FOR PS3 OWNERS WORLDWIDE. IF EVERYONE JOINS IN, THEN WE WILL BE HEARD AND THEY WILL INVESTIGATE THIS PROBLEM. This is my e-mail i sent them, Dear, Sir/ Madam, I am writing to complain about the abyssal online service worldwide players get on the Playstation Network while we attempt to connect to a server to play an online game for Grand Theft Auto IV. Many players have been experiencing trouble trying to play an online game for GTA IV especially those with a NAT type 2 or 3 connection. However, those who own a Playstation 3 and with a NAT type 1 connection (connecting their PS3 straight to their router) there are no connection errors for them people. I have visited many forums and threads to find a solution to this problem and many people are complaining how poor the online service is for those who would like to play an online game. If any Playstation 3 that connects to the Playstation Network using a wireless connection (NAT type 2 or 3), their connection will fail to connect to any online game on GTA IV whereas other games such as Call of Duty 4 works perfectly online. In theory, i believe that it is not us that have the connection problem, but Rockstar does because other multiplayer games work fine for us. If you have noticed, not many PS3 owners play online on GTA IV because a large percentage of those PS3 owners connect to the Playstation Network with a wireless router. In my opinion, I think that Rockstar is just being lazy and only focusing on the Xbox 360 system when there are thousands of complaining PS3 owners with connection errors whilst attempting to play a game on GTA IV. I ask you now to please find a solution to this frustrating problem and please respond to this e-mail if there will be an investigation on this subject. pphheerroonn
i have NAT type 2 and don't have any problems but you may be able to try this if you are having troubles with NAT type 2 or 3. The only thing is that you wont be able to use the media server features on the PS3. I found this video that allows your ps3 to connect directly through your router: hope it helps you out some. That only works if you have a PPPoE connection, which most people in the UK don't
