Vikunja
I think this is the best GTA so far and I just think it's so f*cking annoying how some people tend to think otherwise. Ok, So you can't do as much as in SA but there's ALOT more depth. And the things you can do is alot funnier & intresting than in any other GTA. Why does people complain about there not being any car modification stores or Fireman missions, when you have random characters, internet, most wanted lists... And a city that's been detailed down to smallest alley. I mean Rockstar wanted this to be more realistic than the other GTAs. And I believe they're heading in the right direction. Best Story so far. Best Character so far. Best City so far. Best gameplay so far. Best controlles so far. And for once, a GTA game doesn't look like sh*t. /An angry Swede And No, there's no gloves. *Moondog*
well everyone has their own opinion of the game. i for one love it, i just would've liked to see alot of the stuff from San Andreas like altering your body, the harrier jet, parachuting etc.
Furnace
I agree with you on most of your points, but people have valid reasons for not liking the game as much as, say, SA. The stuff Rockstar took out was a blast to do in SA, and car modding and skydiving is what alot of people would have fooled around with when they had completed the story missions. It's not that there's any less replay value, online makes up for that, but if you are happy with the features R* took out that you could do in SA, IMO you either never owned SA or you're lying to yourself. I guess some people don't feel the need for all the extra random features, but these are what made San Andreas.
Breaking Bohan
I won't lie, the alleyways do look good; however, it would be really nice if I could find a silencer for my guy; chop someone up w/ a chainsaw; buy a business; get rid of the damned police by ducking into the nearest Pro Laps; listen to public radio; see the countryside; shoot down a 747 w/ the rocket launcher (or shoebomb); buy new sh*t for my safehouse (bunk beds; mirrors for ceiling; a wet bar); also, where the f*ck is the double-ender - I want access to some f*cking buildings like the copshops - I want the choice to go upstate and meet some yokels and run them down with farm equipment. tigertoddy2008
We've had the same engine for 3-VCS for almost 8 years - the thing just naturally looks and feels different. Planes would have been good (but too small for this map), but wow, I mean, every street having a name - I used to dislike 3 and LCS because they were ugly liberty-city based, but this makes liberty city more than playable for me. Things like the death-cam are going to take a bit of getting used to... and, did anyone play that 2002 game, Mafia? IMO, the graphics (at least player models) on that were just as good as this, when I played 4, I thought "wow, this looks like a movie, come to think of it, a lot like mafia..." which had some good features, really good storyline, but not as much "fun value" as gta... *Moondog*
could you imagine how good GTA 4 would be if it had every good thing from SA, LCS & VCS, what a monster of a game it would be

Vikunja
The fact that you can't go upstate to kick some farmers, well, we knew we couldn't do this, as soon as it was announced that GTA4 would be settled in Liberty City. I guess I'm just one of those players who playes the game for the story & depth so for me it doesn't really matter that you can't shoot down an 747 or whatever... I owned SA and I loved that game. But GTA4 i sgreat in another way. A mature way Maybe the SA is in GTA5 ? That would be awaseome.
Tommy_G
I agree that GTAIV is great, and i dont really have a bad word to say about it. but its just after the story theres not that much to do. in SA you could just loose yourself in the map/ game. Personlly i like the idea of SA as the next game, i quite like the hood element and also getting all the way to the top

Personlly i like the idea of SA as the next game, i quite like the hood element and also getting all the way to the top I totally agree - GTAV could be back in LA (or the entire state of California - even better), but it would look fantastic and could have a completely different approach to the storyline (no gangbanging). IV is great, there just doesn't seem like much to do after the story line is complete - and thats a downer.

I totally agree man. Saying internet is better then being able to mod cars is just stupid. I would rather be able to mod cars and drive them around then be able to go on the internet and look at cars for sale and maps of the city.
