Also the smallish companies with a 100 or less employees tend to be better as well. Anyway good question and heres mine: Rockstar - Their known for the GTA Titles and their best moments were Vice City, GTA IV and Canis Canem Edit. Naughty Dog - Quite possibally the best game producers ever, always get the best out of the machine their dealing with. These guys best moments are easily the Crash Bandicoot series (thats the first 4 Crash's) and Uncharted: Drakes fortune. Insomniac games- These guys are great and in the same league as ND, their actually friends. These guys best games are the Spyro titles (theirs anyway) Resistance and the Rachet and Clank series. Epic Games - These guys know how to make a good game and enjoy the whole experience with it, hence why they make awesome games. Just play Gears of War and you'll see what I mean. Sony Computer Entertainment's, Santa Monica division - GOD OF WAR! Need I say more?! Konami - Takes his sweet arse time but makes amazing games in the process. Metal Gear Solid is his most loved piece of work. id - These guys made the FPS what it is today and Doom, to this day, is still the best FPS ever...PERIOD! Although I have to take my hat off to Insomniac for making an FPS i.e. Resistance that gave me a similar feel that Doom did when I played it all those years ago as that to me speaks volumes. Sega - The megadrive sonics just kick ass. Game Freak - These made the legendary Pokemon games that have drained far too many hours out of my life, and will most likley do it again. Nintendo - Mario had to be mentioned at least once although he's extreamly overated . Capcom - So many cool games such as Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. Mand'alor Posted May 25, 2008 Share Posted May 25, 2008 (edited) Aside from the obvious choice of Rockstar my favorite game developer is Bioware simply because of games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect & Jade Empire to name but a few. These games had so much effort put into them when they were being developed and the end results were always spectacular. The worlds within these games and the characters just made the games so immersive and special giving you months of kick-ass gameplay which was very satisfying, especially the Knights games and Mass Effect. I'm looking forward to more awesome games from Bioware, hopefully a 3rd Knights of the Old Republic and the sequel to Mass Effect which is already in production (I may be wrong on that).
