Worst f*cking Glitch Ever

EVERYTIME I pick up Packie and go drink and take him back to his house I have no car so we walk to the marker and it glitchs and all you see is Packie from underneath the ground, so Niko is underground looking up at packie thru the ground and he says bye then the screen turns black and freezes.

 

I swear R* dont want me to get these achievments

 

 

First its the stupid pidgeon thing that I cant find the last one even tho I went thru n marked them off one by one

 

Now I cant get the phone a bomb one and all friends over 90%

I needa slap the taste out of Packies mouth but I been using cheats since I got the game which was midnight release I was the first one to get it where I was at but it just started happening now that Im getting closer to him being 100%

i dunno i think you have to reload it from an early save, that should help

why did you use cheats anyway? its common knowledge that cheats mess up your game. they always have with gtas.

Actually, Cheats DO affect achievements. Alot of people have used health or weapon cheats and not got their achievements. Its also common knowledge that cheats do have a chance of f*cking your game up. Its happened in all GTAs. Classic was the mission where you had to catch madd dog. So many people couldn't do that mission to find out their game was f*cked up because they used cheats. Restated got to the mission and did it first time.

That was because of the "peds riot" cheat. This cheat will mess up if you use it in Vice City and III as well ; I guess.

I used cheats A LOT on San Andreas and had no game trouble. Seriously, i mean i would use fix car cheat, weapons, spawn vehicle cheats ALL the time.

I guess cheats wear off after awhile cuz I been using them and still got the blocked achievments, clean the mean streets, one man army, and the 4 star one and I never had a problem with cheats/achievments this is just some glitch I got for the 2nd time with Packie/being drunk/no car/walk into the marker. I guess they wanted you to be in a car while you drop him off i dont know.

 

So I just went bowling instead and got his % to go up now im at 80% finally but still no special ability.

Your one of the lucky ones i guess. I can name at least 40 people that i know personally IRL who have had their game f*ck up because of cheats. Not the Ped riots cheats. I mean just any cheat they have used.

This happened to me too. Exact same thing dropping off Packie drinking. It only froze when I hit the x button to skip the scene then it would freeze on the loading screen. I don't bypass the scene anymore and it doesn't freeze. I don't know if it's the same problem. Hope this helps.

Actually, it was the "Peds Attack Each Other" cheat. I did research because I was replaying the game with cheats, and I heard certain ones disabled you from progressing.

I must say I have never had a single freeze in GTA4 yet.. everybody talks about glitches and frozen games.. never happened to me (yet)

Trust me, I don't go into threads that are obvious give aways, but this game should not be a sprint and the competition R* has serves some who are just adept at any game, but I can't help but take my time and savor the experience. There is that part of me that would love to beat all games, but typically that never happens.

 

The freezup glitch is a few seconds here and there, with NO CHEAT effecting it. Seriously, using cheats to solve the game??, lame!

Yeah there's no rush to complete it. when i reached 100% i had a total of 99 hours played.

That's more gameplay than most games out there

 

Though i do concede that they put the Pigeons in (Hidden packages in previous iterations) just to bring up the playing time

Ive cheated in excess of 500 times in gta iv and never had a glitch or freeze. like 100-200 of em are prob just from fixin my orange infernus that i cruise in.

Then the people you know are idiots. The only cheats that have ever prevented game completion in the GTA games have been the ped cheats from SA. Sorry, they were either lying to you, or morons.
