Not just that, but I usually end up taking myself out. biggrin.gif

He left. So I am too.

Time for some TDMs to feel better about myself.

Oh, well. Thanks for the play-by-play. It was readily amusing.

Don't know you, but Free Mode is to do stupidities you can't do solo. I usually invite my friends over because of the reasons you stated before.

oh no... one videogame player just alluded to another videogame player being a virgin dork. how ironic. i guess in order to be a badass straight cool videogame player you need to have the lexicon of 15 year old highschool linebacker.

my favorite move lately is if somone is being poor trash, and is either arguing with their fat girlfriend/mom or playing music loudly while their mic is on, i'll turn my mic on and stick it in front of one of my babies. i have 2, so one is usually crying. sure, i'm used to the sound but other f*ckers find it annoying.

Brick i hope you have a PS3, i would love to snipe you from a rooftop while you hear crying infants.

That's real good parenting!

I used to kill myself more often than not with the RPG.

Now I am a lot better. Its a good weapon to keep someone pinned while your team mate encircles them...but I digress.

Back to Free Mode. I played last night and landed straight into a moron party. AA on. Spawning near. No cops...

No cops? What's the point. Go play DM.

I ended up starting another game and 3 buddies of mine held a rooftop for a good 20 minutes until we ran out of ammo.

I also had the unfortunate pleasure of accidentally killing Bobby_Digital. I was shooting at some cops and with AA on...he walked in front of me and I killed him.

He then spent the next 20 minutes hunting me down and killing me mercilessly. Even the "look I have no guns...Hey! Hey! f*ck you! Hey" didn't work....

Hahaha. I kept accidentally doing that the first time one of my longtime e-friends played GTA IV online... every time he walked in front of me and I was just shooting cops, he'd die and start killing me back.

I'm pretty sure he's been avoiding playing with me since...

Somewhat amusing experience last evening; while once again treading the streets of southern Bohan -- in a hosted game, no less -- I ran across two imbeciles attempting to take each other out with assault rifles. "Friendly fire" was disabled, as per usual, but they seemed to be oblivious to this fact. For some peculiar reason, even though I prevented players from spawning next to one another, both morons spawned not two or three feet from my shootout with a small legion of "Spanish Lords". They immediately began gunning for one another, racing towards an alleyway where two assault rifles were strategically placed -- what followed was outright hilarity.

Now, for starters, one would think that I'd be relieved to see them ignoring me in such a fashion, right? Wrong. Especially not when both individuals began to simulate virtual-coitus right before my very eyes! As I approached the alleyway after ridding myself of the gang threat, I'm astonished to see one player crouched while the other is immediately behind "her" continously crouching up and down so as to simulate intercourse. I had to stifle a laugh and ducked behind a trash bin to see what else would become of this absurdity. Nearly five minutes into their ritual, another player rams directly into me and plows through the others on his way through the alley. I can no longer contain my mirth and begin guffawing loudly. So loud, in fact, that it attracts the attention of my wife. She enters, only to witness the two lovebirds dust themselves off and continue the carnal tango.

She looks at me, I look at her. After what seems an eternity, she just shakes her head and exits the room.

Suffice it to say, due to my propensity for voyeurism, I was eventually annihilated by yet another reckless driver. Who knows what became of the backalley copulators (I've forgotten their aliases), but it goes without saying that that's the most memorable experience I've had yet in "Free Mode". And you know what? That's saying alot.

Yes. Whatever Tiff said.

All $500,000 of my TDM earnings if you can tell me what exactly that was.

Edit: joined a fairly full FM, got in position with a sniper rifle, rocket launcher, M4, armor, and a heli for escape. Nice low building with no serious "fencing" so I can aim straight down to the bottom of the building. Took about 15 minutes.

Everyone leaves.

lets just put it this way, 4 killin ppl u go on deathmatch(hense the title) and if u wanna make new m8s and have a laugh wid dem so this is wat i say and if any1 dnt like then go lick a lolipopor summit lol

Let's just put it this way, for killing people you go to deathmatch (hence the name), and if you wanna make new friends and have a laugh with them (part of sentence missing, most likely;) you go to free mode.

That's my opinion and if you don't like it you can go lick a lollipop or something. Lol.

Kay, where's my 500k Erados? biggrin.gif

I still say most griefers in free mode are unskilled gunmen who are frightened to play TDM. If you are really having a problem with griefers in free mode, then play a couple matches of TDM every day to start your gaming session.

First off, most good TDM hosts will turn off "Auto-aim" and this makes the TDM regulars crack marksmen. So when you enter a free mode and "Auto-aim" is on...you laugh your @ss off due to how easy it is to grief the griefers.... They are really not used to being hunted by skilled fighters... They are used to torturing people who just want to chill, and they are used to making people leave the map....

But I promise you, once you get some TDM Non-auto aim xp under your belt...shooting griefers in free mode will almost be like shooting people who have their controllers unplugged....

I too love a good free mode with cooperation and mass mayhem, but I also love to pull my car up to some stranger and beep the horn, then see him open fire on me... If I die...ok, then I respawn and get revenge until they log off... Once you get rid of the griefers, then you can play coop with all the cool people left.

But truly...if your having alot of trouble with griefers in free mode, then you need to become a better marksman yourself. ANd TDM is the way to do this for sure. After all it is free mode, and this means anything goes in most cases...so if you can't protect yourself then you have no right being there...

If your an XBL gamer, and your getting picked on mercilessly, then just send me a tell on xbl, and if I'm online I will be more than happy to come and be your personal mercenary. I love nothing more than to enter a map and see someone getting picked on just so I can help them out...

Sorry, I don't have anything on 'em.

I guess you don't need a private detective to find the flaws in the MP system but that's hardly worth bending over for innit?

I think alot of people are missing the keyword here, "FREE". Meaning we should be able to do whatever we feel like doing for leisure,

Exactly though, people can do whatever they like. I agree though I hate it when constant killing happens. It gets very boring.

So, if they want to deathmatch, they can wink.gif

That goes at the cost of the freedom of other players and there's already a separate game mode for that.

That's the problem.

You could be on to something here; the other evening I was minding my own business -- searching for a helicopter to take a leisurely cruise in -- when seemingly out of nowhere a user going by the odd moniker of SEVENDEUCE1337 spawns and begins firing in my direction. I'd foolishly left "friendly fire" on, and didn't realize this until I caught two or three rounds through the windshield of my Futo and was eliminated.

Everywhere I went, this annoyance would follow. From Acter to BOABO -- there wasn't a neighborhood that was off limits. Luckily, my pursuer wasn't all that great of a driver, or I'd have really been in trouble. Whenever they had the chance, they would implement (poorly) tactics that are usually applied to death matches: heavy usage of cover, constant movement, etc. As luck would have it, I'd managed to disallow "Auto Aim", and because of this, I was able eventually put down this nuisance and alleviate myself (and the sole other individual in the midst of exploring the city) of his/her stupidity. It pays to become efficient in the skill of manual marksmanship, that's for sure.

I've yet to play a death match, but I make it a point to hone my aiming skills whenever the chance arises.

Just turn ff off and keep police on.

That way when they start shooting you they'll have to deal with the police shooting them ^^

Worked wonders all night for me

I've two accounts (one for my wife, one for me), but for some particular reason, mine isn't working at the moment.

My PSN: Sedentary_Refuse

Wife's: Sedan_Delivery74 (she absolutely adores GTA Race)

I suggest that you add the latter, as I may very well have to ditch my personal account -- it seems to be defunct, for reasons unknown. I'm continously signed out of the network!

After people realised that ff was off they calmed down and got into the car with me and we went swing glitching, must have introduced a round 8 people into it tonight, the rest just went about trying to have a deathmatch..retards

"Swing glitching" is for the birds. As for getting others to join me on my city-wide excursions? Fat chance. Most are content to cap me into oblivion, knowing full well that "friendly fire" has been disabled. It's as if half of the on-line populace has undergone a lobotomy.

,May 24 2008, 05:36] I think alot of people are missing the keyword here, "FREE". Meaning we should be able to do whatever we feel like doing for leisure, at our own pace.

GRR!

So you want to be FREE to do whatever you like in LC, but don't want to allow anyone else to be FREE and do whatever they like in LC, like kill players?

Bit hypocritical.

Not at all. Players should be free to attack each other on a whim, but only if one of them isn't getting tired of it. A lot of people are total pricks who live to piss others off, so they just repeatedly kill each other. Others ignore the people screaming "Stop shooting me!" into their headsets. Kill each other all you want, as long as it doesn't ruin the fun for someone else.
