I have the Australian version for 360. I was the first person in my town to get it and I got it at 12:01 on the 29th. My copy had NO CHANCE of being edited. I can tell you now that the Aussie version:

 

Has the picture with Niko behind the crates, the chick with the lolly pop and the rasta's playing domino's. That's IT. There's no dude picking up a hooker.

 

We have NO blood pools, but we get blood on the cars and sh*t like that.

 

We don't get blood spots on the clothing or anything like that either.

 

I don't think it's a great deal but considering we pay sh*tloads more, I think we should get the full version. I'm 16 so I don't have a sh*tload of cash, I will try and get enough money in the next month or so to get a UK version and then I will take some screen shots of both.

Hmm? The game was edited prior to the DVD/Blu-Ray Disc being manufactured. Just because you got it at launch doesn't mean that your game isn't edited like the other Australian copies.

i got both versions and it isnt really that different, the extra blood is the only thing thats better.

In my opinion, it doesn't really bother me that blood effects or prostitute interaction was removed from the Australian version of the game. If it was actual gameplay or vehicles/weapons that were removed, then it would bother me. Anybody else agree?

I found it funny, but in the Australian XBOX360 version, when you first load upt he game, you get 3 screens,

 

1) Niko hiding behinda  crate with a 9mm pistol. (lasts 5 seconds)

2) That chick with a lolly pop. (lasts 5 seconds)

3) Those Jamaican dudes. (lasts 10 seconds)

 

However in the UK version you get,

Also some language has been changed, one character said one word but the subtitles said f*ck. (Either that or the people doing the subtitles got bored)

 

Prostitutues I don't mind missing, but not having as much blood kind of sucks (Still sprays onto cars though, which is odd).

prostitute thing is correct, but seems odd that you can't see a lame pixellated sex scene of something which is legal in NZ (yes prostitution is legal here), but you can still murder the hooker immediately after and steal your money back. weird double standards these editing guys have that makes consensual sex worse than murder and robbery.

 

anyhoo, the blood pools thing is also correct, BUT you can still get blood on your tyres running over a corpse and hence bloody tyre marks. I just tried it.

 

 

from watching various youtube vids, there is no difference with the strippers between edited and unedited versions.

for crying out loud dude dont get pissed at me! I played it for the first time today at a friends house. i didnt stab the ped i shot him with a shotgun, it was on a footpath.

i wouldnt understand why they'd take it out anyway; it hasnt caused controversy in any past GTA games.
